Oil companies used horse drawn carts with large tanks of kerosene that would go through the larger cities of America. Fastened to the sides of these tankers were Perfection stoves and heaters that the deliverymen would sell off the cart. Following Standard Oil's breakup in 1916, the oil companies decided to concentrate on the gasoline business and gave up marketing stoves. This vintage Perfection Oil Heater No 660( Made in the USA) was advertised to" give glowing warmth at the touch of a match" and" heats up the coldest room in a few minutes" and" burns 10 hours on a gallon of oil" These stoves were light. Strong, and handsome and easily carried about and would really hit the spot on a cold morning. This ... morePerfection Oil Heater shows the patent date(June 17, 1919) is affixed to a silver plate on the front of this heater which is 24 Inches in Height. The base considering the four legs is 16 Inches in diameter and the top which doubles as a stove top is 10 Inches in diameter. This Perfection Oil Heater comes with an attached carrying handle. To light the heating element/wick, just snap the front latch so that the chimney can be opened to expose the wick/heating element which is at the base of the classic blue chimney. Here is a 1943 vintage/antique cook stove fuel bottle. From Perfection Stove Company, Cleveland, Ohio. The bottle shows a Patent No. 2.319,739. This bottle is a rare and hard to find"square" shape. This is clear glass. And has a ring for carrying. The metal spring valve screw on top is in perfect working condition. The bottle measures 11-1/2" tall(glass only) And a 7" x 5" body. This piece is in good original condition. Showing no cracks, chips, discoloration, or repairs. There are scattered scratches on the glass surfaces, and the interior needs a detailed cleaning. Up for your consideration is a wonderful Perfection Stove Company. Model 679 Range(with stove and oven) with most, if not all parts. This was made in the late 30's and provided all the comfort of todays living for the time. As shown in the photos. There are many pieces that come with the range, including, burners, glass kerosene tank, wicks, etc. This range has not been tested, so it is unknown if it will work when assembled, or even if all the parts are here. The condition. As seen in the photos is very good for its age. There is rust on the underneath inside and general nicks and wear. I would suggest an personal viewing befory buying. An antique Perfection Stove glass Kerosene Jug with spring top in lid. This was made in Cleveland. Ohio with date of 1919 in raised letters on side. Also have lettering Trademark Patd. in U.S.A. No 1,299.914 and No. 1.456.716. In England No 145.674. Has metal ring with bail around the top of the jug. Has some rusting and discoloration. Still in solid condition. Lid and spring work as originally intended to. This measures 8" wide and is 10" tall. Is very clean inside. Doesn't smell like kerosene, or anything else. Is clean and nice.
