VINTAGE 1913 PERFECTION SMOKELESS OIL # 140 C KEROSENE HEATER PARLOR STOVE 140-C
You are bidding on a vintage PERFECTION SMOKELESS OIL HEATER. It is model# 140-C(Which I believe to be from 1913) This is in working order and is really cool! This smokeless heater is in vintage condition. And there is some surface rust from over the years. I love the look as is. However, from my reasearch I have seen these beautifully redone, but I thought it was best to let the restoration up to the new owner. It measures 23.5 inches tall x 16.75 inches at the furthest distance between the legs. The vents all seem to work well. And the heater opens and closes nicely. The oil tank is really cool as well, being made out of either brass or copper! It may need a wick in the near future, but the heater lights up nicely(as can be seen in the pictures) And yes, I emptied out all the oil afterwards in order to avoid a huge mess in the mailing process. ... moreEnjoy. I don't have much knowledge on something like this, it looks to be in great cosmetic condition in accordance with age. Everything seems to be sound on it. See pictures for detail and measurements. The chrome/stainless steel trim has surface corrosion and can be restored to its beauty when it was new 100 years ago. The patent date is May 23. 1913. The kerosene oil tank has the fuel gauge that shows how much fuel remains in the tank. I have not tested that to see if it is functioning. There is a wick although I don’t know if it is still usable. Condition is as follows/ shown: Heater is completely original and without restoration minus the 2 top screws were replaced due to being locker down. The paint is fantastic with only a few small rubs to mention. The glass shade is void of damage, the nickel plat is shiney/ bright. There are no dents, heavy scratches, holes, corrosion, heavy rust to mention. The piece still has a wick as shown. I don't believe this was used very much nor has it been exposed to moisture. Antique (1902 -1912) Perfection #130C Smokeless Oil or Kerosene Heater
Antique Perfection Smokeless Oil- Kerosene Heater Antique Perfection Smokeless Oil Heater. I rubbed off enough of the"patina" to determine this heater has 1900 and 1902 patent dates. There is also a"7 12" stamped in the top of the wick cap(see 2nd to last photo) That may indicate a production date. I think the later models came out in 1913. It still has a good Perfection wick. This kerosene heater measures approximately 24 1/2" tall, 12 1/2" side to side, and 12 1/2" front to back. This old heater appears complete except for the sight glass and would make a great restoration project if you want it to look like new. Or you could leave it as is, as shown in photos, for a rustic addition to your decor.

And uses the same wick font. The heater has a Perfection kerosene tank that as you can see burns fine. But needs to be adjust somehow, because it is very hard to turn the wick up and down. There is a piece on top of the canister that twist off. Once that is off the wick goes up and down freely, so it is something with that piece that is making it hard to turn the wick up and down. The bottom of the heater has the no. A-602 near the bottom. This is in good condtion with the typical color loss. And just needs the tank that holds the kerosene and wick.

Perfection Unused Kerosene Oil Heater.
Offering a Perfection Kerosene Heater. This heater has never been used. Shows almost no evidence of time. The wick has never had oil in it. It looks great. A good basic Perfection room heater. Blue steel center portion with painted Gloss Black trims. If your not familiar with these heaters they all expect the porcelain models will develop a loss of shine on the upper parts after some use due to the heat. In order to keep them at there best a light fine steel wool to remove any light rust that may form on the steel portions in the off season should be done and if kept oiled or a light coat of WD 40 on them when not in use it will prolong the newer look. It takes a rather large carton which weighs about 21 pounds to ship it well protected. Its packed and will go out as soon as the payment is made on it.

Glass is in Fabulous Condition. no cracks no chips that we can see- only a straw mark( please read below for what a straw mark is) from manufacturer on the back side- it functions just fine with this for all these yrs) Wick is in Great Condition& Works& Turns as it should. This Heater was used Little& is all in Fabulous Condition- The clear glass is embossed with a flame design and the name Perfection across the top of the globe Model no. 735" marked on it Straw Mark by a Glass Manufacturer: Shear Mark- Straight mark or scar caused ... moreby the shears used to cut away the molten glass as it was being dropped into the mold. Sometimes called a“straw mark” When the hot glass is held over the mold and just enough is put into the mold. The handler cuts off the molten glass with metal shears, which are much cooler than the molten glass. If this is done just right, so it's thrown to the side of the piece, it blends in with the rest of the glass and doesn't show. Looks like everything is there and would probably work fine(my opinion) but I'm not an expert.There is only light surface rust as far we can tell and would paint up nice or left as is for that great patina look. The top of the unit opens where it would reveals the burner. This is just a great piece. Not seeing many dings or dents. Maybe a small on here or there. Handle is intact. Perfection Oil Heater is marked on the front. This heater is absolutely beautiful and very clean. The gauge on the tank works and doesn't have any rust inside or out(except some light surface rust on the top of the burner) The wick looks like it may have only been lit a few times. The Flame Spreader has surface rust and on one side its smashed down a little bit but works fine. The Gallery that surrounds the wick is thin perforated Brass with a small tin handle. The handle has just about rusted off and the brass has three small cracks. It still works you just have to be careful when you take it off to get to the wick. The wick could be replaced but it still has about 1/4 life left. Check out the pictures for they are part of the description. This is a vintage used Perfection brand#735 kerosene or oil parlor stove-coiled bail handle-baby blue paint-glass sides are imprinted with flames-it has paint chips and rust-the rust is mostly surface rust but a little heavier on part of the base-I bought it from an estate sale and have never used it but it looks like all parts are present. The tank looks good and I think with a new wick it would probably be usable-12" wide at base and 25" tall-no cracks in glass-it will be an oversize box so shipping is kinda high

It is no. 630. It has some surface rust. It measures 24" tall and 17" at the base. It appears to be in original condition. A lot of times you find these stoves and they have replacement parts or have been painted over to cover up the surface rust. It was purchased from an estate and I believe it is from the original owner. It needs a good cleaning so some of the spots on the outside are dirt. There are NO areas where the rust has gone through. Brass burner missing few minor parts from what I can see, see picture where burner has been disassembled. No wick, gear is good and moves wick holder up-down. Tested the part that holds the kerosene and strangely it does not leak at all. Tested with water for several days. Bottom don't have cracks at all as the sides do. Appears the heater has been repainted and looks nice considering how old it is, no major dents, don't see no dent's actually. Being sold as is as Found with no warranty or for parts or repair. These are great old heaters, we have another one listed on ebay that does work and they heat fast and let off extra lighting with a shadow effect from the holes/ piercing in the metal heater case, really ... moreneat! Antique 1913 Perfection #630 Kerosene/Oil Heater, Baby Blue!
Here is a rare baby blue and black trimmed Perfection#630 kerosene heater. In good overall condition! The enamel and metal have signs of age and use, the front, silver mesh grille has some indentations, and there is no drip pan. The lattice work is intact. The top air flow adjuster slides back and forth easily. The release latch to enter the bottom compartment opens easily, and the kerosene holder itself is intact, though rusted. I was unable to open the fill plug due to it's being rusted closed, but perhaps a handy person could open it. The spring for the kerosene gauge works fine, and even the chain attached to the bail handle is present. The heater's main handle works. It has been re-painted with heat paint. The glass doesn't have any cracks and is in like new condition. The glass globe is marked Perfection with the traingle logo. The yellow. Orange glow when lit is like being at a campfire, hard to capture in photo. The last one I sold was used for camping when it was too dry to light a campfire. Also, makes a great large lantern and the top makes a nice stove. This heater is absolutely beautiful and very clean. The gauge on the tank works and doesn't have any rust inside or out(except some light surface rust on the top of the burner) The wick lights easily and also is like new. The heater stands 241/2" ... moretall and the bottom base is 13"in diameter. Top lid is 8 1/2" in diameter.The heater weights about 12.8 lbs. dry. Warm up the old fashion way. We have for sale an Antique Perfection Smokeless Enamel Model 660 Turquoise Blue Kerosene/Oil Heater. This was an estate find. It stands 24 inches in height not including the handle and the legs sit 17 inches apart at the base. The stove was PAT June 17 1913. The condition of the stove is very nice. Some light surface rust and scratches, nothing major. The enamel does show some wear at a couple places. The brass burner insert is in great condition, no holes complete with wick although you may want to change it out before firing it up. This unit has not been tested but I feel pretty confident that it will work fine. I believe it could be polished up to look even nicer. A nice display piece as well as functional.
