This is a Vintage Perfection model 1715A portable kerosene heater with original Pyrex glass. This is a great collectible! great for parts if you are restoring another similar one. There is some rust areas(see pictures) but the metal is still in good structural condition. This would be a great little restoration project. It has a great handle and the heater is approximately 25inches tall by approximately 17 inches wide at the base. You are bidding on a vintage PERFECTION SMOKELESS OIL HEATER. It is model# 140-C(Which I believe to be from 1913) This is in working order and is really cool! This smokeless heater is in vintage condition. And there is some surface rust from over the years. I love the look as is. However, from my reasearch I have seen these beautifully redone, but I thought it was best to let the restoration up to the new owner. It measures 23.5 inches tall x 16.75 inches at the furthest distance between the legs. The vents all seem to work well. And the heater opens and closes nicely. The oil tank is really cool as well, being made out of either brass or copper! It may need a wick in the near future, but the heater lights up nicely(as can be seen in the pictures) And yes, I emptied out all the oil afterwards in order to avoid a huge mess in the mailing process. ... moreEnjoy. The chrome/stainless steel trim has surface corrosion and can be restored to its beauty when it was new 100 years ago. The patent date is May 23. 1913. The kerosene oil tank has the fuel gauge that shows how much fuel remains in the tank. I have not tested that to see if it is functioning. There is a wick although I don’t know if it is still usable. Offered is a new old stock Perfection#325 wick for portable Perfection kerosene heaters. This wick comes in a round cardboard box. The wick is factory singed and has never been used. This wick is for use in Perfection heater models: 325 330 350 360 370 430 460 and 470. The back of the label has directions for replacing wicks. The wick is 5 inches tall by 2 ¾ inches wide. The metal holder is 3 ¾ inches tall. The box is 5 3/8 inches tall by 3 3/8 inches in diameter. The wick is in very good condition. And shows no evidence of rot. The holder is intact. With no dents. The box is showing its age. The paper label shows some chipping. There is a small tear at the top, and there is an old price written in marking pencil on the front.
