This is a listing for a 1930's- 40's wickless stove. This stove uses either#1(kerosene) or#2(home heating oil) This is a vary nice stove and in great shape. One day my dad just up and switched over to burning wood and he put this stove in the attic. And never used it again. This stove worked fine when he stopped using it. The only damage on this stove is a scratch on the right side door. This stove has its own attached fuel tank that holds approximately 4 1/2- 5 gallons of fuel. The firebox is in great shape. It is not rusted and doesn't have any holes in it. The stove also has a blower system that goes on either side of the stove. The right or left side door comes off and the blower goes in place of the door. This would make a great stove for a cottage or a summer camp. This is a nice old group of 4 cast iron wood or coal burner grates. They are 3 3/4" tall. The back is 2" wide, front is 1 1/2" wide at the top and about 1 1/4" wide at the bottom. Several of these form a circle in the burner area, they are in great shape, no chips or cracks. This looks good. Items as pictured. I have other vintage items. You are bidding on a vintage PERFECTION SMOKELESS OIL HEATER. It is model# 140-C(Which I believe to be from 1913) This is in working order and is really cool! This smokeless heater is in vintage condition. And there is some surface rust from over the years. I love the look as is. However, from my reasearch I have seen these beautifully redone, but I thought it was best to let the restoration up to the new owner. It measures 23.5 inches tall x 16.75 inches at the furthest distance between the legs. The vents all seem to work well. And the heater opens and closes nicely. The oil tank is really cool as well, being made out of either brass or copper! It may need a wick in the near future, but the heater lights up nicely(as can be seen in the pictures) And yes, I emptied out all the oil afterwards in order to avoid a huge mess in the mailing process. ... moreEnjoy. CONDITION is VERY GOOD- no cracks or damage to the glass- just wear from use( circa early 1900s) The bottom exhibits some stretched glass residue. A pontil mark, from when it was originally blown. These are NOT cracks, clearly they stand out in relief, little ridges that can be seen and detected with the fingernail. Antique Cast Iron Single Burner Oil Stove Light Lantern
It's kind of hard to describe this stove/lantern. Someone has painted it. But I couldn't say if these are the original colors. It seems to be in very good condition other than the hole in the side, and one of the nuts on the top is missing/ broken off, that you can see in the picture. I'm not sure if this can be repaired or not. The housing is tin or stamped metal and the tank and some of the other pieces appear to be cast iron. the fuel cap is not original to this stove. From the research I was able to find the company that made this, but they seem to have gone out of business in the late 1800's, and though I found some of these that were similar, none of them were made by this company. I assume it burns kerosene or coal oil. But I don't know for sure. Thanks for looking
