Wick looks good, it is a working heater. Full working order. This heater has not been molested in anyway, except for wiping most of the dust and soot off. It has not been sanded, painted, or any other restoration type activity. Glass is crack/chip free. Not even close to rusting through anywhere.

This is a nice old group of 4 cast iron wood or coal burner grates. They are 3 3/4" tall. The back is 2" wide, front is 1 1/2" wide at the top and about 1 1/4" wide at the bottom. Several of these form a circle in the burner area, they are in great shape, no chips or cracks. This looks good. Items as pictured. I have other vintage items. Fastened to the sides of these tankers were Perfection stoves and heaters that the deliverymen would sell off the cart. Following Standard Oil's breakup in 1916, the oil companies decided to concentrate on the gasoline business and gave up marketing stoves. This vintage Perfection Oil Heater No 660( Made in the USA) was advertised to" give glowing warmth at the touch of a match" and" heats up the coldest room in a few minutes" and" burns 10 hours on a gallon of oil" These stoves were light. Strong, and handsome and easily carried about and would really hit the spot on a cold morning. To light the heating element/wick, just snap the front latch so that the chimney can be opened to expose the wick/heating element which is at the base of the classic blue chimney. This ad is a really important ad. Even though electric stoves and other appliances were already available. Most homes, including rural ones, were not wired for electricity. Coal and wood burning stoves had been the alternative, but they burned dirty and required lots of labor and then attention while cooking. The Florence Stove pictured here burned kerosene. The water heater pictured in the kitchen next to the kitchen sink of the artwork is also fueled by kerosene. This stylistic ad combines ... morethe artistry of a mother doing her chores more quickly and efficiently while it also addresses the safety concerns. The stove featured is a four burner with two of those being for the oven. This ad includes a cut away oval showing the details of the burner mechanism. VINTAGE 1913 PERFECTION SMOKELESS OIL # 140 C KEROSENE HEATER PARLOR STOVE 140-C
You are bidding on a vintage PERFECTION SMOKELESS OIL HEATER. It is model# 140-C(Which I believe to be from 1913) This is in working order and is really cool! This smokeless heater is in vintage condition. And there is some surface rust from over the years. I love the look as is. However, from my reasearch I have seen these beautifully redone, but I thought it was best to let the restoration up to the new owner. It measures 23.5 inches tall x 16.75 inches at the furthest distance between the legs. The vents all seem to work well. And the heater opens and closes nicely. The oil tank is really cool as well, being made out of either brass or copper! It may need a wick in the near future, but the heater lights up nicely(as can be seen in the pictures) And yes, I emptied out all the oil afterwards in order to avoid a huge mess in the mailing process. ... moreEnjoy. Here is a vintage Duo Therm Oil Burning Stove. Marked on tag" Motor Wheel Corp. Lansing Mi Model 575-9" Has pat# 2313554 and others which could be useful in dating it. Great for use as a vintage decoration. Very ornate grill surround. Directly from the estate of the original owner. Was working when replaced but I did not ask how long ago that was. Whether or not it could be used or restored for use is your decision. This is a mid sized heater. It is about 34 inches tall. 17 inches wide and 21 inches deep. All 4 feet and the rear leg are present and good. Fuel tank is good and reasonably clean. There is a shallow indentation on one side(photo#6) The top has some indentations(photo#7) It has a glass fire viewing door and this door needs the latch repaired. Outer fire door is fine. Glass is in Fabulous Condition. no cracks no chips that we can see- only a straw mark( please read below for what a straw mark is) from manufacturer on the back side- it functions just fine with this for all these yrs) Wick is in Great Condition& Works& Turns as it should. This Heater was used Little& is all in Fabulous Condition- The clear glass is embossed with a flame design and the name Perfection across the top of the globe Model no. 735" marked on it Straw Mark by a Glass Manufacturer: Shear Mark- Straight mark or scar caused ... moreby the shears used to cut away the molten glass as it was being dropped into the mold. Sometimes called a“straw mark” When the hot glass is held over the mold and just enough is put into the mold. The handler cuts off the molten glass with metal shears, which are much cooler than the molten glass. Up for auction is a Vintage Working Perfection Stove/Heater# 500 Wick Burner Kerosene/Oil Tank Type Complete. It's in good used working condition. The Tank is in good condition with some minor surface rust. The Fuel Gage. Filler Cap, and Wick Adjuster all works good. The Flame Spreader has surface rust and on one side its smashed down a little bit but works fine. The Gallery that surrounds the wick is thin perforated Brass with a small tin handle. The handle has just about rusted off and the brass has three small cracks. It still works you just have to be careful when you take it off to get to the wick. The wick could be replaced but it still has about 1/4 life left. Check out the pictures for they are part of the description. The only writing I can see on it is stamped on the top of the burner and it appears to read as follows: PATENTS PENDING JULY 10. 1900, NOV 13, 1900, FEB 11, 1902" I believe this stove is over 100 years old and it is in great condition for its age. The tank, fuel gage, filler cap, wick adjuster, and flame spreader are all intact and in very good condition. The folk art is beautiful. This is a vintage" NESCO" kerosene heater that stands 24 inches tall and is 14 inches at the base. The heater is in original condition. The inside fuel pot are in nice condition. Things that should open or twist do so easily. The heater shows little use and the surface has some rust. More towards the base. The window piece is missing but this piece is pretty clean, some light dust. I was going to repaint it but, just too busy. It wouldn't take much to get it looking new again. We have for sale an Antique Perfection Smokeless Enamel Model 660 Turquoise Blue Kerosene/Oil Heater. This was an estate find. It stands 24 inches in height not including the handle and the legs sit 17 inches apart at the base. The stove was PAT June 17 1913. The condition of the stove is very nice. Some light surface rust and scratches, nothing major. The enamel does show some wear at a couple places. The brass burner insert is in great condition, no holes complete with wick although you may want to change it out before firing it up. This unit has not been tested but I feel pretty confident that it will work fine. I believe it could be polished up to look even nicer. A nice display piece as well as functional. Antique Oil Stove Heater, Breese Engineering Corp, Breese Burnoil
This is an antique fuel oil kerosene stove or heater. On the front it is stamped with the word QUAKER NO 10. There is a tag on the back that reads BREESE BURN OIL by the Breese Engineering Corp. I do not know if this works and if all the parts are here, what you see is what comes with this. Good luck. Will consider shipping but the buyer would have to pay for it. Railroad Train Camping Hunting Space Radiant Vintage Parlor Portable Heating. Cast Iron Pan Cooking Kitchen Hardware. Barler's Ideal Number 50 oil/kerosene heater. Circa 1905, from the A. C. Barler Mfg. Company of Chicago, Illinois. It has an art nouveau grill plate on top to use as a single stove burner. Made of cast iron and metal and painted black. The kerosene container looks to be made of brass. It doesn't have a wick. With top carrying handle. This hasn't been restored. The front plate is marked. No. 50, Barler's Ideal, A.C. Barler Mfg. Co. Chicago, U.S.A. It measures 20" tall. Not including the top carrying handle. It's nice with NO breaks. Cracks or dents. The hinge and closing ... morelatch work fine. The kerosene pot has no dents or holes. There's some rust and green tarnish scattered around, mostly on the insides, that I'll let you tidy up. The kerosene filler and wick knobs will have to be oiled to get them moving. IMPORTANT NOTE: I ship all my items once a week every FRIDAY.
