This is an original circa 1900 Victorian Palace Oak parlor stove with a cook top(according to description on back of stove)If I am understanding this correctly the top is a cooking surface as well as being a parlor stove so there likely was never a crown/pediment on the top. It is in as found condition with surface rust and one side piece needs repair.Very ornate stove and a great restoration project or re-purpose it! this is from an estate. Antique 1907 Round Cylinder Wood/Coal Parlor Stove, "Bright Oak," Iron & Brass
An older family friend asked me to help her list this wonderful. Large antique stove in her attic. When I saw it, I was immediately reminded of all those stories I read when I was little that talked about heaters and cookstoves(A Little Princess, Little House on the Prairie, etc. I couldn't believe I was actually seeing one in person! Apologies for the"lovely" attic background. But we are two smallish women and didn't want to attempt to move the heavy piece of iron from the 3rd floor! She has had it"forever, but she and her husband are preparing to sell their enormous house and are finding good homes for their larger antiques: Height: 48" Including finial. Circumference of central pipe: 51" Circumference of base: 60" Marked"Bright Oak" on the front in ornate letters, Lovely iron work all over ... morethe piece. Quite decorative, Made in 1907- see photos. Made of cast iron and brass with an ornate finial on top. Neither of us are experts on this- we expect that any buyer will know more than us. However. It doesn't take a genius to see broken parts or cracks! This piece has none- there doesn't appear to be any damage, aside from mild rust accumulated over 100 years. As you will see from the photos, the drawer slides out, the grate is intact, and there are no cracks or broken off parts. We wiped the dusty piece down with a wet rag before photographing because it was very dusty and dirty(some parts were still wet when we took the pictures. You can see that there is a light coating of orange rust on the iron. And the brass is dull. The stove will need to be cleaned up. However, it will be*beautiful* when it is refurbished- we found a photo of almost the exact same model on this site(for $4800! Please look at the photos for yourself- we took them from every angle with the flash so we could accurately represent the piece. This is a very large and very old Round Oak Parlor Stove M-20 out of a 1850's farmhouse located in Mayfield. Kentucky. The home had been vacant and the stove was left inside the home for many years. A friend purchased the old home and I bought the stove from him. The stove is mostly for a nice antique decoration however I think it could be used if you so desired. It would need some metal work around the bottom of the barrel, it has damage and would leak air inside in current state. There is also some mild damage to the upper door that would not affect stove, can be seen in the pictures. The stove could also be parted out to complete another stove as there are a lot of great pieces here. The stove is mostly complete minis the finale(trophy piece) on the very top. Might also be missing a skirt but not sure. We have a freshly restored turn of the century Round Oak wood/ Parlor stove. Model E18 Own a piece of history from an era gone by! This parlor stove was completely rebuilt. Carefully disassembled and Sand blasted Cast iron pieces were hand buffed the old fashion way with a good quality stove polish. The barrel was replaced with 16 gauge heavy sheet steel and hand riveted as the original was. A quality high temp paint was applied to the barrel. Furnace cement was applied to all seams during assembly. This stove is ready to use or makes a perfect display piece! The casting on the door reads estate of P.D. Beckwith Dowagiac,Mich. Our research dates this parlor stove circa 1890's- 1940's Has a few minor flaws( to be expected for its age) skirt in front of door has a small crack, nickle plated ring around the top has a minor ding. The first theory is that Beckwith stoves were round and could hold a section of whole round oak tree in the firepot. Round Oak was considered the finest heating stove money could buy because of the quality of its durable heating stove and by the late 1890s there were many“oak” imitators on the market. Number of the stove model is No 114. Stove was kept in a family room for many years and is in good working order. Item shows some signs of rust along the bottom. See pictures for more details. It is in beautiful condition and would clean up nice. It is very dusty in spots. It is very ornate and the finial and other iron work on the piece are really in great condition. I do not know how old the piece is. Some light research on the Toledo Stove Company would probably date this piece to the early 1900s. Description-Offering this RED CROSS OAK STOVE#318 PATENTED 1889. Rustic shabby beautiful as is or could clean up for restoration. Approx. 63" tall x 30" max diameter. Shows surface corrosion everywhere. Comes with some tools and from what I can see has missing glass. Partially broken ash pan door handle and an internal plate that has come loose. Otherwise, all else looks o.k. to me but I'm certainly not an expert. See pics. Please e-mail me if you have any questions. PICK UP ONLY. It is embossed on the bottom OAK II4 PK and is about 8.5" in diameter. It is about 11 inches tall. It is all cast iron. Including the ornamant pieces. I cleaned off some of the paint after I git to double check. I was hoping for brass, but I did not get that lucky. You can see where it was brazed back together under the paint but it was done very well and not noticable on top. This is has a very ornate bottom. Up for sale is possibly a rare Chief Doe-Wah Jack on a Urn Stove Top Finial maybe for the antique round oak wood burning or coal stove? There is no markings on this item. Pictured in a cast cartouche is a Native American Indian amongst the urn and rococo style handle with a dolphin or gargoyle. We are not an expert in this field. So if you are looking at this item you are more informed than us. You decide! This is the urn finial stove top for the late 1800's or early 1900's oak style parlor stove. The mascot Chief Doe-Wah Jack was a fictional native American Indian and appeared on the early stoves from the Round Oak Stove Co. Which was founded in Dowagiac, Michigan in 1871. Chief Doe-Wah-Jack Indian Urn Stove Finial. A fictional Native American Indian, appeared on most Round Oak Stove Company and Estate of P.D. Beckwith Inc. advertising ... moreand stoves until the company's demise in 1946. Chief Doe-Wah-Jack" was introduced when, with the spread of the telephone, customers had trouble pronouncing"Dowagiac" when asking the operator for a connection. Round Oak remedied that problem by providing the phonetic spelling of the town's name. Round Oak was considered the finest heating stove that money could buy because of its quality, durable goods used to make their products. It measures 11" tall and 6 1/2" wide at the widest point. Vintage barn fresh Round Oak model 16 cast iron parlor stove finial/top. Marked on the inside"Mod Oak 16 1908" Base measures 9 11/16" in diameter and it is about 13 1/2" tall. No chips or cracks. Overall light surface rust. No pitting. Will clean up nice. Bolt that runs down the center is loose& will need to be tightened. You will likely have to soak it with some penetrating oil before tightening it. I didn't want to try because I would likely mess it up. Good as found condition.

This is a round cast iron parlor stove skirt that goes on a Geneva Oak cylinder stove. Four sections. Three of the sections are nickel plated, one section is not. Overall light surface rust. No cracks or chips. Each piece is marked Gene 171. This was made by Phillips& Clark Stove Company in Geneva NY. The wider bottom measures 24 1/2" in diameter on the inside, the narrower top measures 21 11/16" in diameter on the inside. The tabs at the top curve in a little more. It is 5 1/4" tall, not including the four tabs. I have taken the sections apart for easier shipping, bolts will be included. Each section will be individually bubble wrapped and shipped together in a sturdy box with compressed packing nuts. Round Oak Parlor Stove P.B. Beckwith. It is@ 67"tall with 24" base. I see no cracks in fire pot. it is SB18-T. One hinge on front door needs repair(see pic) One skirt trim needs repair as does tab on front skirt trim with Round Oak name(see pic)Has ash bin and cast iron insets to protect fire box. stove appears to be all intact. My research came up with the date of 1915. So in a couple of months it will be 100 years old. Ready for restoration. You need to come and get this item d/t weight. I can keep it in my barn for 30 days.

Three fantastic woodstoves. All for one price. These I picked up at estate sales in the Woodstock Vermont area. A genuine 1854 Wolfe and Sanders"Congress" Parlor with Victorian style made in Troy NY Also is a small parlor stove made by Rathbone and Sard 1891"cosey" and finally an unusal"modernist" 1940"s deco coal stove or oak stove as they type is called. each has a part missing which is sad. And each has its own charater the two parlor stoves have small cracks. these are being sold as ART or ORNAMENTS. These could be mended and set up if you are really good with old stoves. I burned each in my barn and they will need some work but doable. Please do not try to use these if you don't have some serious background with old stoves. I had been polishing these with stove polish(rutland) to bring the details ... moreto life. But time space and Christmas I rather just sell them now. These CAN NOT be shipped. They are in Vermont I can help load them all three for 1 price and as rare antiques. This is a bargain, but like I said they each have some issues. add these to your collection!

The stove aficionados out there looking for parts will know what brand and model this will fit. The finial stands in the area of 14 inches tallas is. The base diameter is 12 3/4 inches.
