This vintage church village piece appears quite old. It's not marked where it was made. It has colored, semi transparent cellophane windows and a hole on the back to put a small size light through. When lit the light will show through these windows beautifully. It's made of cardboard with printed walls and the roof and base is covered with sparkly. Sugar like Mica. The church measures about 4" long. 2" wide and 3-1/2" tall not including the base. The base measures 6-3/4" x 4" The roof is bent a little on the corners. The roof and base has some light spots. A small tear on the edge of the roof and and has a torn window. Even with the flaws overall it displays very nicely. I love the little printed clock at the front, bricks, stones and icicles. These vintage house village pieces appear quite old and are not marked where they were made. Each village piece has colored. Semi transparent cellophane windows and a hole on the back to put a small size string of lights through. When lit the light will show through these windows beautifully. 4 are not made to hang on a tree these are for table top use the other 2 smaller ones are for hanging but would work tabletop as well. One has a broken string on top. They are made of cardboard with the 4 larger ones having printed walls with the roofs covered with sparkly. Sugar like Mica. Each also have windows that when lit from inside will show light through. The larger pieces average about 3-1/2" wide and high not including the bases. The 2 smaller ones are about 2-1/2' x 2" These have bent roofs and or bases. Light spots, small tears ... morehere or there and some with torn windows or small pieces missing. The Cardboard House has a textured green roof with"snow" The"snow" on the roof looks like little short pieces of fiber threads to give texture. All the other"Snow" on the ground. See pix) needs wicks, other than that it seems to be in working condition! Approx. 10 inches tall and 8 inches wide. the top hot plate is 7.5 inches x 6.25 inches. has some minor surface rust(see pix) very nice piece! see pix for further details. The electric iron replaced need for these heaters. The two large wicks were meant to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area to heat two sat flat irons at once.

When I Was Very Young In The Early 1950's My Grandfather Had A Little Village Of Putz Houses Under The Christmas Tree In The Front Window Of His General Store In A Tiny Town In Northern Wisconsin. An Electric Train Ran Through The Village And Around The Tree. I Was Thrilled Every Year When The Village Appeared Along With The Store's Other Christmas Decoration. I Have Loved Holiday Villages Ever Since And Still Have His Putz Houses Which I Cherish And Put Out Every Year! This Listing Is For 6 Vintage 1950's Mini Putz Houses From Japan T hree Of These Mini Putz Houses Are In Very Good. Used Condition. They Are In Picture 2. The Colorful Cellophane In The Doors And All The Windows Is Still Intact. Three Are Sturdy But Have Broken Cellophane And Are Shown In The Third Picture. This is a great size-the base measures 6 inches by 3 inches. And the height is 4 1/4 inches. House or church-based on the long front window, paper village, white mica snow and roof. Cellophane windows as shown in photo. Meant to have a light bulb inserted in back. Sponge tree in the yard. Age discoloration, creases-cracks, and loss of paint as shown in pictures. THIS IS A UNIQUE COLLECTORS ITEM. A 1908 STONEBRIDGE FOLDING LANTERN. IT WAS MADE IN NYC AND WAS USED BY SOLDIERS IN THE TRENCHES IN WORLD WAR ONE FOR A MILITARY LANTERN. IT COLLAPSED DOWN AND THEN COULD BE RESTORED TO PUT A CANDLE IN FOR LIGHT. THE EISENGLASS PANELS ARE"MICA" FORMED INTO SHEETS. THE MICA SHOWS WEAR. OF COURSE, BUT IT IS NOT CRACKED OR BROKEN. ALL THE TIN PLATING IS INTACT AND THE HINGES WORK. YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTOS THAT IS JUST HAD IT SITTING ON THE FIREPLACE MANTLE. Antique WWI 1906/1908 Stonebridge Folding Candle Holder Lantern W/Mica Windows
STONEBRIDGE FOLDING LANTERN PAT’D NOV 20. 1906 JUNE 9,1908 C.H.STONEBRIDGE M’F’G CO MADE IN USA I don’t know how long this“Collapsible Folding Trench Mica Isinglass Lantern” has been hanging obscure on a nail in my father’s attic except for the fact that all the components show wear. Rust and discolor because of age but the mica, tin plating, springs and hinges are all intact. Workable condition. A slightly melted candle is still inside. A thorough review of the photos will further identify the condition of the Lantern.
