1930's Art Deco Magic Chef Antique Gas Stove
Gorgeous 1930's Magic Chef Gas Stove. Most of the information I can find dates this model to 1934-1937. Porcelain coated in beautiful pale yellow. Exposed Chrome Frame. Burner covers fold up out of the way to reveal the four gas burners and the spacious stainless steel prep area in the center. Two small drawers below the burner controls. And a large fold-down/ slide out drawer tray for the roaster pan. Still has an orginal informational tag. Designed in the Art Deco style with a shelf, and a light above the cooking area. Very clean, hardly used. The wire for the light needs to be replaced. There is a wear spot on the left front corner through the porcelain coating about the size of a quarter. 1920's / 30's Magic Chef Gas Stove, Porcelain
Here is a very nice vintage"Magic Chef" Gas Stove by American Stove Company! It is not currently working nor do I know if it would work? But its a great decorative antique piece. It has a few. Very minor, small chips on the porcelain. The overall condition of the porcelain is excellent! Two of the hanging door pulls are damaged due to the heat over the years. But both are still usable. There is also one of the stove top knobs that is missing. As you can see inside. It's overall very clean and the porcelain there is not scortched or burned from useage back in its' day. All the doors function properly. The gas burners appear to all be in tact on the stove top but not attached. They are just sitting inside disconnected. Very nice decorative piece! Vintage Magic Chef, 1938 Gas Stove/Oven, Art Deco look, cream/black
I have an old farmhouse and always dreamed of redoing the kitchen using period kitchen equipment. This stove. Purchased from a good friend when she was moving, is a 1938 Magic Chef. It was in working condition sitting in her basement when she purchased her home. She never used it although it was always hooked up to gas lines and ready to go. I've owned it about 10 years and I've never used it. It does need some work but is in beautiful condition for the most part. It is in need of a hinge to hold the large oven door closed.You will see in the 4th photo tape on the grill side which is the tape holding the large over door closed. It also needs a new loop on that same door that the baklite handle hangs from.The baklite handle is still with the stove however. There is a chip in the porcelain at the corner of the large oven door and also ... morewhere that door fell open(when a grand daughter discovered it could be opened) onto the handle directly below it. The only other issue is the fold up top on the inside is rusted, likely from having moisture build up due to having the gas on during it's time in the basement of my friends home. I would like to get just what I have in it but would be willing to negotiate some. It's heavy, likely weighing about 400 pounds and I hired a mover to move it two doors down and up steps. These are worth some good money in working condition but you'll need to have it gone over. I don't know if it's still working or not. I've pictured the damage to the large oven door and the last pic is of the side where the oven thermostat is. Ask questions, I'm happy to answer! Thanks for looking! Up for auction is this beautiful vintage stove. Maker is Magic Chef. The stove is black and a yellow cream is blended through the front and top. The handles are metal. There are 4 burners. The stove is 43" long and 42" high. The oven I 17" wide inside and 13" high. This is the kind of stove that needs to be lit with a match. The overall condition on the outside is very good. Very nice for the age of the item. The problem with the stove, there are tubes needed for the burners of the stove and I do not have them. 1920's Magic Chef Porcelain gas and wood stove
This is a rare one of a kind stove. It not only has the double ovens and four burners but it also features a wood stove fire box with two cast iron top plates. It has a kindle feature to help light the wood stove using a small gas lighter housed within the fire box. This oven is in brand new condition it has a beautiful porcelain finish, the burners are in new condition as well as the interior of the ovens and the wood box. If you are into retro looks for your kitchen or just to add a conversation piece to you home decor this is a bargain. The legs are off in the photos but can be easily reattached, I removed them when I moved the stove and just never put them back on. To sum it up the stove is basically in brand new condition and would be a great conversation piece and a functional addition to any kitchen.
