CAST IRON LAUNDRY STOVE
I played with this stove as a child. It is a cast iron laundry stove 19 1/2" tall and the top measures 19" x l5" There are two burner plates on top and it is marked No II X Rockwood Stove Works, Rockwood, Tenn. The item is extremely heavy and would be for local pick up only. My father found this in a scrap metal yard in Dayton, Oh in 1954 and I made mud pies on it, then it became a plant stand on my front porch and most recently a printer stand for my computer.

Antique Dollhouse Miniature Laundry Stove c. 1910
This little stove would have had lots of uses in Little Miss's dollhouse back in 1910. She could have used it to heat water for a laundry or bath tub. Or, if she had a nanny for her doll children, the nanny could have used it in the nursery to heat bottles and middle of the night snacks. Sometimes, an Edwardian home would have had a small upstairs kitchen for the master of the house to heat cocoa at night or make coffee in the morning. One did not appear downstairs EVER without being fully dressed so that would have been handy. Finally, when the American steel magnates began producing cheap steel, apartment buildings began to spring up and little stoves like this would have been just the thing for your new apartment. Anyway, it is cute and useful. It measures 2 3/4 inches long x 1/2 inch tall. It is made of soft white metal and then painted ... morewith black and red detail. It is marked"Germany" on the bottom. This cast iron stove is in very good condition. It has been disassembled.Sandblasted and re-assembled with new hardware as well as having all joints being cemented with a quality furnace cement. It is fully functional but is small. The top is made for a copper boiler,the stove was designed for intermittent use on laundry day and will not heat a large space.Very nice as a display piece or would be ok for a small space.Shipping is available but due to weight and size it must be calculated and will be actual. Antique Cast Iron Tip Top Laundry Southern Stove Works No. 112 W/ Five Irons
This turn of the century cast iron antique laundry stove was manufactured by Tip Top Laundry Southern Stove Works. Inc. of Richmond, VA. It dates back to the late 1800s to the year 1908. The laundry stove is model no. 112. The laundry stove measures 25 inches from the top of the stove to the bottom of the leg. The top measures 20 inches wide by 14 inches deep. Including the chimney and nameplate it measures 22 inches deep. The laundry stove is equipped with two removable lids, a center support, and a handle for lid removal. There is a round chimney in the center of the top of the stove. The name plate swings open to provide access to the fire box. Around the perimeter of the stove are holders to hold the irons while heating against the center body of the stove. Below the irons is a removable damper to remove ashes. From an estate. LAKESIDE FOUNDRY 292 Mogul laundry stove as shown. You can see that I pressure tested it to 30 p.s.i. and it does'nt leak. Combustion chamber has no cracks or repairs. Grate needs to be repaired or replaced as it is broken in 2 and has been previously unprofessionally"repaired" Surface rust included. Stove weighs 115 lbs. as shown and I'm not sure about the best way to ship it. I can likely break it down to manageable pieces but I doubt that the original bolts will survive the task. Here pictured an antique. Cast-iron, small wood or coal burning'laundry' stove, Model No. 28, made by Columbus Iron Works, Columbus, GA. My understanding is that stove was nicknamed'Little Joe' and was a very popular item in the early 1900s. Used to heat irons in a laundry; that explains its size. Stands approx. 21" high x 20" across x 16" deep. I think the company made similar-size stoves for cabooses on trains, but I'm not positive about that. Please see all photos, sorry about the glare. This wonderful rare little Pot Belly Stove is a Wood Burner. It was most likely used in a commercial Laundry. But it may have been able to be purchased for home use as well.
