This auction is for a vintage kerosene drip bottle for stoves. From Owens. Ill. Measures approx. 7 1/2" high and 5 3/4" across the bottom. The lid is rusty but still has excellent spring action! Bottle is in excellent(yet dirty) condition. No chips or cracks. Embossed with 18 to the left, 8 underneath and 8 to the right of the trademark. I am not an expert in. anything. These stoves virtually heated our entire country until the late 40's when electricity began to replace their use. I have not cleaned the jar as the patina acquired over the years adds to the charm of this lovely piece. Just under 8" tall. Handle is in perfect working order as is the spring loaded drip opening. The bottle measures ~ 10" x 7 1/2" in diameter and weighs 4lbs. The bottle is embossed and reads. TRADEMARK PAT. IN USA, NO 1299914, 1453716 IN ENGLAND 1919 PERFECTION STOVE COMPANY, CLEVELAND, OHIO, MADE IN USA. The bottle features its original filling neck and spring pump cap; the cap can be removed by a coupling rotation.
