This is a Vintage Perfection model 1715A portable kerosene heater with original Pyrex glass. This is a great collectible! great for parts if you are restoring another similar one. There is some rust areas(see pictures) but the metal is still in good structural condition. This would be a great little restoration project. It has a great handle and the heater is approximately 25inches tall by approximately 17 inches wide at the base. Offered is a new old stock Perfection#325 wick for portable Perfection kerosene heaters. This wick comes in a round cardboard box. The wick is factory singed and has never been used. This wick is for use in Perfection heater models: 325 330 350 360 370 430 460 and 470. The back of the label has directions for replacing wicks. The wick is 5 inches tall by 2 ¾ inches wide. The metal holder is 3 ¾ inches tall. The box is 5 3/8 inches tall by 3 3/8 inches in diameter. The wick is in very good condition. And shows no evidence of rot. The holder is intact. With no dents. The box is showing its age. The paper label shows some chipping. There is a small tear at the top, and there is an old price written in marking pencil on the front. I do not know if these were ever sold as retail or if they were only sold to businesses. This is very similar to the Perfection line of kerosene stoves. The viewing window is made of a plastic type of material and is dented in a bit. The feet are worn/corroded around the edges but still have enough material to support the stove. Item Details Description Nice Vintage single burner portable kerosene cook stove. Early model with steel tank that looks like a soup can. Roughly 12" square with a 7" square grate. All there but unused for years. Will most likely need cleaning and a new wick. I remeber this being stored in out shed in case we needed it for the entire time I was growing up.I also remember mom cooking on it in emergencies. Tank is fairly clean and does not appear to have any holes. Entire stove should be stripped and repainted. I did not see a brand name on it. All items for sale locally. Antique Portable Heater Classic Kerosene Stove With Opaque Glass Center 25"X 9"
You are bidding on a very old kerosene heater. It measures approximately 25 inches tall. 9 inches wide and 13 inches on the bottom. The glass center takes up about 8 inches in the middle of the heater. It had been painted a white enamel and they did such a good job I have no idea what the original color might have been. I do not know if it's in working order as it was used solely for decoration and was not needed as a heater. However the inside"pot" is still there. There is no kerosene or oil in it at all nor has there been for as long as it's been here in this house.since the 1970's.It is a very study little heater, very pretty with the glass center. Although I never actually did it, I always thought I would find a way to place a flameless candle inside the glass which could make it a very appealing little"lantern" ... morewithout the danger of fire. Because it is so old I'm sure the working parts have rust and I am unsure it it's possible to get it in working order if you really wanted to use it for heat. But I didn't want to mess with it. Appears to be in good working condition. Inside looks very good. I think this was well taken care of. Very little rust! The handle is well intact.
