Antique Patchwork CRIB QUILT - Reversible - Hand Pieced & Quilted 32 x 45 inches
This unique antique crib quilt was made in an unusual way. A long narrow quilt top was folded in half. Batting was added and then binding on three sides. It was pieced by hand and on one side the side piece was stitched on by machine. It was all quilted by hand. One long side and the folded end should be rebound. There are a few hand mending stitches her and there that can be seen with the zoom close up. It has thin cotton batting and is clean and odor free, it's size is 32 by 45 inches.

This is a very beautiful but simple linen tablecloth measuring 64 x 82 inches. Has no design other than the tiny row of cut out circles that are 2 inches away from the edge& that look to be hand worked. Color is an ecru. Slightly off white natural looking linen. Some of my photos look yellow but the color is closer to the photos that are off white. Heavy linen but a nice tight& fine weave. Tablecloth is reversible as the edge has been finished so you cannot see a hem. The hem was rolled& hand stitched into the row of cut out circles along the border. Beautiful quality workmanship& beautiful fabric. No label& so I don't know where it was made. No defects. No stains, no damage& no odors. It could use an ironing. The sections of printed fabric is white poinsettia. Roses& ornaments with leaves in sage, teal& sea green colors on a dark to medium green and silver metallic paisley background. The solid fabric sections are a polished sage/light teal green as is the 4 inch ruffle. The third section is the same solid polished fabric with an cutout piece of the printed fabric appliqued on to the solid fabric with green metallic puff paint outlined around the whole applique. The reverse side of skirt is simply the solid polished green fabric so it can be flipped if you choose. The center opening is about 4 inches and opening can be closed with Velcro. I got this paisley shawl at an estate sale. Where it had been professionally identified as one of Victorian age. Absolutely beautiful! It measures about 68 inches square. It is in very good condition for its age, no holes, no negatives except for the"balding" fringe. Two edges(sides) are finished and the other two are fringed. The finished edges are in very good condition. The fringed sides: fringe is absent or thin in areas, as shown. This shawl would nicely cover a piano, table or large portion of a wall. The pictures don't always do justice to the radiant colors-trust that the colors are uniform throughout, The reverse side-look at the last two pictures.
