Has the original parts& burner on the inside. Burner has all original caps and knob and handle and everything moves as it should. Even has the really cool cap with arrow on it that moves to show the kerosene level. Even the wick adjustment knob is detailed with a flower. Burner is empty with no cracks that we can see. It has all the metal emblems and embellishments that is should have as far as I can tell. Looks like everything is there and would probably work fine(my opinion) but I'm not an expert.There is only light surface rust as far we can tell and would paint up nice or left as is for that great patina look. The top of the unit opens where it would reveals the burner. This is just a great piece. Not seeing many dings or dents. Maybe a small on here or there. Handle is intact. This Perfection model 160 coal oil heater is 25" tall and 16" wide across the feet. It has a mica flame window and a brass fuel tank which is easily removed by lifting by it's handle. Vintage Perfection Oil Kerosene Heater Fount Base Tank Burner uses 500 Wick
This is used and very dirty. There is some paint and other marks on it as well. There is a used wick in it. The knob turns fairly easily but not very far either way. I never had to use one of these before so I don't know if that is normal or not. The handle is secure. The whole thing is about 8.5" tall and 8.5" across the bottom. And uses the same wick font. The heater has a Perfection kerosene tank that as you can see burns fine. But needs to be adjust somehow, because it is very hard to turn the wick up and down. There is a piece on top of the canister that twist off. Once that is off the wick goes up and down freely, so it is something with that piece that is making it hard to turn the wick up and down. Up for auction is a Vintage Working Perfection Stove/Heater# 500 Wick Burner Kerosene/Oil Tank Type Complete. It's in good used working condition. The Tank is in good condition with some minor surface rust. The Fuel Gage. Filler Cap, and Wick Adjuster all works good. The Flame Spreader has surface rust and on one side its smashed down a little bit but works fine. The Gallery that surrounds the wick is thin perforated Brass with a small tin handle. The handle has just about rusted off and the brass has three small cracks. It still works you just have to be careful when you take it off to get to the wick. Antique Perfection No 1665 Smokeless Oil Heater Vintage Decor Tank Intact
Up for sale is a gorgeous antique smokeless oil heater made by Perfection Oil Heaters in the early 1900's. This is a Perfection Model No. 1665 and was made in the USA. The solid brass tank is intact and inside. Though I am unsure if everything works or if it is complete(I am an estate sale hunter, not an antique stove expert, so I leave that to the buyer to determine) This was an estate sale find, and is in farm-fresh, barn-find condition. This would make a beautiful accent or statement piece, with it's very ornamental victorian filigree cut out detail work. It would look great in any home or garden. It seems to be in fair condition, with wear and tear in the paint finish, this appears to have been pink and cream at one time, with black and white as well. I am unsure what paint color was original, or if someone had repainted it at ... moresome point, I just purchased it because I saw it and thought it was really neat and fell in love. I like the old patina it has, it definitely adds to the character of the piece. One could refinish this, or leave as is. This is a nice large piece, that would look excellent on a porch or hearth. Could potentially still be used as a heater, but I will leave that to the buyer to decide. There are youtube videos on how to light them and people do still use them today as outdoor heaters. Up for auction is this nice Perfection 730 kerosene heater. The heater is in great condition with a little surface rust in places. It stands 25" tall and 13" across at the base. The tank is in really good condition. It is marked with"Use Only No. 500 Wick" and has a tank gauge that moves freely. There was some kerosene still in it when I got it. Glass tank has Jan 2 1877 embossed on it(I can't believe glass made it this long) Adjusting knob on the side has a date of Mar.29.1881.If it wasn't for the glass tank, this would be just another sad,flat iron heater. When you look at the tank, you just know it's old glass! No identifying mark's.Still has cellulose window halve stuck on. Measurements are 9 1/8 high, 6 3/4 wide at the base, 4 7/8 deep, not including handle. 4 inch wide wick included. GOOD LUCK!
