Norge Antique Gas Stove Born in 1936. This stove was purchased by a lady new on the outskirts of Shelbyville, Ky. and remained in her home until it was ... moresold in an Estate after she had passed away. The gentleman that I purchased this from is the one who had purchased it at the Estate auction around 1996. With the intent on installing it in his older Shelbyville home's kitchen which was undergoing a restoration. Anyway, he decided to go a different direction on the appliances, and that is when I came to own this remarkable stove. It was late 1996 when I purchased it. And the gentleman to me a story that I must pass on to you. The lady who originally bought this stove had used it daily since new, but being in her late 80's and a widow was pressured by her family to get a"new fangled" stove with autopilot features as they were concerned for her safety with a standing pilot light, and they were even going to pay for it. She refused over and over again until finally one day she said she would accept a"new" stove as long as they had"her" trusty companion"stove" installed down in the basement so that she could cook her Holiday dinner on her own stove. And so it would be! But when the kids were cleaning up the her old house for the estate sale. They noticed how clean the"new" stove was, and came to the conclusion that she had in fact not been using it at all, but going up and down the basement stairs everyday until her death. HMMMMMph? Anyway. When I purchased this in 1996, I took to the local appliance store for a"once over" cleaning, inspection, tune-up as well as having the oven controller removed and sent out to the Tulsa Stove Hospital to have it re-calibrated. I also had the top burners and grate re-porcelained by a company in Tennessee. I was having a"new" Victorian Country built, and this was installed upon moving in. My wife and I have enjoyed this stove up until May 2010, when we updated the kitchen with new SS appliances and a commerc

Up for sale is a nice Siegler Oil Heater. Model 400. I bought this from a guy in Ohio who was using it to heat his shop. I got it home and cleaned it up. Never got around hooking it up and my plans have since changed. Nice heater with few marks here and there but nothing serious. Heavy unit so make sure you have a truck when picking this up. Fan works great and again just never got around to hooking it up. I did see it working in the guys shop and cranks out the heat. Any questions please ask before buying this item. About 4 ft 5 inches tall. 4 ft wide, and 1 ft 7 inches deep on the sides. 2 stove ovens. Top one measures 18 inches wide, 14 inches tall, and 18 inches deep. Bottom one measures 18 inches wide, 11 inches tall, and 18 inches deep. Has 4 burners and a cover rack. Also has storage compartment below the burners. It is in working condition. I cook and bake almost daily, Although the oven runs hot, it is consistent and I merely adjust the thermostat. Haven't burned a cookie, brownie, cake or pie yet! We purchased this beauty in Kinnelon. NJ, where the seller told us it had originally been used in a local hotel. We used it daily in our former home for years(circa ... more1910 craftsman bungalow) and brought it along with us when we sold that house a few years ago. We decided it would be best to have it fully tuned up(get the thermostats rebuilt, valves repacked, and install a modern safety system) before permanently installing it in our new home. I took every burner valve apart, repacked with vintage range valve cream from antiquestoves.com, and removed both thermostats to get them out for rebuilding. I've included an image of one of the thermostats for reference. The Chambers sat as we worked on other projects in the house. As things turned out. Time passed, and our kids get older, our priorities and kitchen plans have changed, and we're reluctantly letting the stove go, acknowledging we're not likely to cross paths with another in our lifetime.
