An additional embellishment would be the three White Porcelain Knobs which move smoothly. The gentleman that I purchased this from is the one who had purchased it at the Estate auction around 1996. With the intent on installing it in his older Shelbyville home's kitchen which was undergoing a restoration. Anyway, he decided to go a different direction on the appliances, and that is when I came to own this remarkable stove. It was late 1996 when I purchased it. And the gentleman to me a story that I must pass on to you. The lady who originally bought this stove had used it daily since new, but being in her late 80's and a widow was pressured by her family to get a"new fangled" stove with autopilot features as they were concerned for her safety with a standing pilot light, and they were even going to pay for it. She refused over and over again until finally one day she said she would accept a"new" stove as long as they had"her" trusty companion"stove" installed down in the basement so that she could cook her Holiday dinner on her own stove. And so it would be! But when the kids were cleaning up the her old house for the estate sale. They noticed how clean the"new" stove was, and came to the conclusion that she had in fact not been using it at all, but going up and down the basement stairs everyday until her death. HMMMMMph? Anyway. When I purchased this in 1996, I took to the local appliance store for a"once over" cleaning, inspection, tune-up as well as having the oven controller removed and sent out to the Tulsa Stove Hospital to have it re-calibrated. I also had the top burners and grate re-porcelained by a company in Tennessee. I was having a"new" Victorian Country built, and this was installed upon moving in. Vintage Vulcan-Hart US ARMY RANGE wood/gas/coal 8 burner plate cook stove oven
This is the Vulcan-Hart version of the US Army commercial wood/coal kitchen stove originally built by the Garland stove company for the US Government contract. But has many upgrades. This stove has a large commercial size natural gas burner in the firebox, which likely could be rejetted for propane allowing you to use multiple fuel sources(Wood, coal, gas) It also has a built in cast iron water heater heat exchanger in there. It has a brite"US" nameplate which appears to be solid brass and silver accenting on the casting names and rivet heads. The top is 52W X 36D X 33H. It's real cast iron- it weighs in the neighborhood of 400 lbs. The Vulcan-Hart company. With history back to 1865, still makes high quality $$$ commercial stoves today and the quality and lineage of this unit shows. Built in 1951 according to the nameplate on ... morethe side. It comes with the stock"tools" poker, scraper etc. The unused heavy-ass firebox grating for burning solids is in the last photo. It was sitting in the bottom of the ash drawer. It is a bit dusty in the photos and it does have a light patina of rust color on the inside but I know most of that is due to the natural gas combustion residue. And there is no ash inside and very little soot in the flue. I decided to leave it all original and not try to restore it as that might change its value and it does in fact need very little cleaning and perhaps some paint inside to make it look like new again. Antique Cribben and Sexton Stove. I am second owner of this stove tho have stored it for 30 years awaiting purchase of house with a kitchen large enough to accomodate it. I have never used the stove tho cooktop was in use by original owner. Specific date of stove 1915-1918 assuming by patent stamps on various pieces. Issues are predominately with gas supply. The linkage that raises and lowers the oven burner to control oven temperature has snapped tho both cast iron pieces fit and could be welded. The linkage that extends to the front of the stove which allows gas to the oven and broiler is snapped and the front piece is missing(photo) The gas valve to the broiler is missing as is the standard black pipe supply. The firebox liners have been overheated(photo) and do not seem to fit in properly.Homestead stoves for replacements) Also missing ... moreis the firebox shaker. The cast iron vent is intact. Porcelain is good with small chip on one cooktop handle. Only two of the original cooktop grilles available. Oven grates. Broiler trays good, thermometer, and ash pan all good. This Fairy Crawford cook stove was made by Walker& Pratt in Boston. Around 1910. About 15 years ago, my father-in-law had it restored and converted(front two burners) for natural gas or propane. It is in excellent working condition. This stove was manufactured by the Independent Stove Company in Owosso. MI most likely in the mid to late 1930's. This combination wood gas stove also most likely used coal and oil as well. The porcelain enamel jadeite green and cream finish is in excellent condition for being almost 80 years old with very few chips/scratches on the upper shelf(which is detachable) and a more noticeable large chip on the removable burner cover(pictured) The on/off/kindler knob appears to be missing but is still functional. Cooktop: cover has large chip. Burners all appear to be in working order and free of rust but have not been tested. The drip pan beneath the burners appears to be a little rusty. This model could have used oil or gas for fuel. Oven: features an external American Thermostat Company thermostat that reads from 200 to 650 degrees. Up for bid is this Vintage cast iron and porcelain gas stove. It has Republic in front of the oven door. I don't know much about it. It's had some repairs to it. If you look at picture#8 of the grill you will see some repairing to it. If you look at picture#3 you can see that it has a hole towards the back of the oven. It has some surface rust. It is missing a few screws and was used in a gift shop as a display, before that it was used to cook on in a Kosher deli, but I don't recommend it for use, it's more for looks now.

Featuring long legs, stylish handles, and a soft green and white enamel color scheme, the Insulated Glenwood is a lovely cooking range. Four gas burners, an oven, a broiler, a pull out tray(pictured) and storage space below and above the burners. Stove was installed and used in my home(by prior owner) for twenty years. I have up for sale a very hard to find"Apartment Size" CRIBBEN& SEXTON CO Model 200-M 3 burner gas oven/ stove. It is in Outstanding Original Condition- this is about as good as it gets for an item of this sort. The stove stands approx 33" tall to the top section where the grates and heating surface is. Approx 51" total height to the top of the hood/ back section. It measures approx 27-1/2" across at the top grate warmer section and It weighs just over 100 lbs.From front to back it measures roughly 20" deep, that is including the backside small pipe section and from the very front part where the burner knobs are. This is one of the smallest size stoves of this type, perfect for a small kitchen, a hunting shack, deer camp, cottage,etc. In 1913 Cribben& Sexton started producing the first gas powered stoves ... morein the US. The streakiness on the blackpaint is from me wiping it with a damp cloth. It is not a repaint. I just did not let it dry long enough when I did the pics. The stove uses natural gas and has a Robertshaw thermostat(apparently one of the best thermostats out there) This stove is very clean and in working condition. The outside porcelain finish is in great shape with some minor damage in a few places. The inside is in very good condition just needs a good cleaning. The stove measures 40" wide. 25" deep(to the front of the doors and 26 3/4" to the handles) and 36" tall(to the top of the cook surface and 42" tall to the top of the back) Looks like one knob may be a replacement(the black one) Also there is a manual for the thermostat about how to calibrate it.
