ANTIQUE 1893 TAYLOR&BOGGIS FOUNDRY CO CLEVELAND SAD IRON CAMP STOVE/HEATER
This old Camp kerosene heater/stove is in good solid condition. No rust other than some age/use grime. The 2 brass wick adjusters turn the wicks and the brass filler cap is not stuck. The inside of the cast iron tank looks clean. One of the mica inserts has a hole as noted on Photo No. 7. Made in Cleveland, OH by the Taylor and Boggis Foundry and has the Patent Dates of Mar. 29 1892 and April 11 1893.

This old camp heater/cook stove has a last Patent Date of April 11 1899 and is on good solid condition. Could use a little more cleaning, a little black soot inside the burners. The 2 wicks turns freely up and down and the stove has no rust. One of the old Mica has a crack/ hole as noted on the first photo. rare 1800's Richmond Va Co New Dixie iron box wood stove confederate foundry
I have sold most of my stove collection the past several yrs but. I kept this rare stove because of the history& appeal it always has had to me. it is a"Box" style wood only burning, all cast iron heating stove. you can see it well enough in all the pictures. let me say first hand that my wife does not want me to sell this tove, she wants to keep it so, I reserve the right to end the auction any time if there are no bids as time goes on or no one uses the"Buy it Now" feature. it was made by the Richmond Stove Co of Richmond, Va. this old iron foundry was in business during the civil war& made confederate products such as cannons, so I was told. I once had a catalog of theirs from 1908& they had already dropped this early box stove& were at that time offering a more modern looking box stove with a different ... morename. I sold that catalog before I found this stove in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virigina. this style design box stove is typical of the later 1870's thru to around 1900. this stove has much ornate embossing all over it, typical of the victorian era"Eastlake" period of the later 1880's. the name on each side is"NEW DIXIE" it has a oval shaped flue pipe collar that fits a 5" stove pipe. it's a"19" box number but the fire box actually is 16" deep, the total length of the stove front to back is 26" overall. the firebox is 10" wide. the hearth on the front is 13" wide. the stove is 22" tall not counting the 3/4" tall smoke pipe collar. but, 9 1/2" of that is the very tall legs, they are the"slip-on" type, they don't bolt on. all 4 legs are original to this stove& fit tight& snug with no wiggle. every box stove I ever saw never had long legs like this 1. most of the small ones only have 5"6" long legs. this is a unusual stove to be sure. it has been completely restored, taken apart, cleaned of any rust, painted with heat proof stove paint& put back together&

Superb Antique Cast Iron Florin 212 Pot Belly Stove with three legs. fully intact. All levers and sliders operational and a wonderful stove for heating and even cooking on. This amazing and extremely good looking stove is only 29 inches tall and will only take up a 2 ft square area of floor space, actual measurements are 20 inches in diameter 20 inches from leg to leg x 3. No cracks no repairs. I bought this nearly a decade ago cleaned it up by steel wool rub it top to bottom, very ornate too, planned to have it hooked up/installed and never did or have. Description: This is one of many items acquired from the estate of the Mackey family of Everett. Washington; the founding family of Washington Stove Works. The company was founded in 1875 in Michigan, moved to Everett in 1903, and continued business through four family generations until they sold in 1981. These items are mainly trade publications and jobbers catalogs. They are all original catalogs, not reprints or reproductions. Overall very nice condition. Dated 1949, embossed covers are in excellent shape as it the spiral binding, the 52 pages are glossy and show minimal aging, just a very small amount of edge roughness and dings. Hand typed price sheets are dated 1950 and are also in excellent condition for loose paper. Not smokey or musty in any way, but smells a little like it was around fuels and oils and stoves and things. Please ... moreask questions if you got‘em.
