I acquired this Stove from an older gentleman who told me that his mother used to use this Stove all the time when she would do her canning with several neighbor ladies- out in the barn! He told me that as far as he knows. The Stove works just fine. It is in Excellent Vintage condition- Very Stout- has just light surface rust that will easily remove with a bit of sanding& quite a bit of the original Black paint still remains on the underside. An additional embellishment would be the three White Porcelain Knobs which move smoothly. This Stove also comes with it's original corrugated metal Hose Connector& can be used with gas or propane by changing out the Brass Orifice at the end of the Black Tube in front of the White Knobs. This Stove is great for canning, or for when you're camping or just to cook on- it's quite handy to have around& is in overall terrific shape with no notable breaks, damage or repairs of any kind- just some minor superficial rust! This is a nice old group of 4 cast iron wood or coal burner grates. They are 3 3/4" tall. The back is 2" wide, front is 1 1/2" wide at the top and about 1 1/4" wide at the bottom. Several of these form a circle in the burner area, they are in great shape, no chips or cracks. This looks good. Items as pictured. I have other vintage items. Up for your bidding consideration is this'barn fresh' antique Germer'Radiant Home Air Blast' cast iron parlor wood burning stove. This stove came out of a turn of the century barn where this stove was installed new when the barn was new(approximately 1915) The barn was to be torn down. So I saved the stove. It is virtually complete, thanks to it being in one spot for all it's life, until now. It was not fired off very often, as the interior is in remarkable condition(aside from a bit of old creosote lining the walls) From what I could see, the interior cast iron pieces are all in good shape with no apparent cracks or breaks. The original nickel plating is trashed from many years of being in an old damp and drafty barn and will need to be replated. All of the cast iron is apparently damage free from what I could see. There ... moreare no obvious cracks or breaks anywhere on the stove, that I could find. It comes complete with it's original finial, which in itself is hard to find. I have purchased new Eisenglass for a full restoration, which will come with the stove. All damper handles appear to be present and in good usable condition. The only thing I noticed that was missing was one of the door handles, which is the one on the bottom damper/ash door. I'm certain a replacement handle can be easily found and purchased. The picture of this stove actually shows the stove top turned 90 degrees from the bottom. This is adjustable and will turn properly back to its normal position once it has been restored. This stove stands about 5' tall, give or take a few inches and weighs around 400+ pounds. This will be an easy restoration project and will look stunning once complete. The cover does have a large Crack(highlighted with black marker in the pictures) the crack can be seen on both sides. Lots of Surface rust, makers name, other lettering is not legible. They built stoves in Peekskill New York for over 40 years. This stove is complete and working. It has been used for auxillery heat for about a month each winter for the last 70 years. It has all the nickle plated parts AND THE FIREBOX IS IN GREAT SHAPE.No signs of cracks or warpage. Old cast iron finial- swing cover for a wood or coal base burner stove. What particular brand it fits is beyond me. The stove aficionados out there looking for parts will know what brand and model this will fit. The finial stands in the area of 14 inches tallas is. The base diameter is 12 3/4 inches. Burner plate handle for a cast-iron wood or coal cook stove. This Ideal brand handle has an even patina all around with a wire handle to keep it from overheating in your hand. Condition: Even patina all around. Except that someone had squirted some rubber cement on it at one point. I've removed the larger bits and messed with it enough to determine it will come off with a wire brush, but I'm leaving that to the buyer so they can decide how carefully they want to go about preserving the patina. If cleaned up in a quick and easy manner, some of the metal will be shinier than the rest. If you just need a handle, you might just find it"good to go" This will ship in a small flat rate box.
