A group of three antique cast iron stove parts. I am unsure of the exact function of each. They could be lid lifters. Grate shakers, or something else, but they are all stove related. The first piece measures about 8-1/4" long and is marked"140" on the top of the handle. There are some casting marks on the underside of the handle as well. But they are difficult to read. The second piece m easures about 8" long. Has a casting mark on the underside of"B63" and is nickel plated. The third piece m easures about 11-1/2" long and has no casting marks or other identifiers. And is also nickel plated. The parts are used. But in good condition. The plated items do show some plating wear and minor rusting. The pictures show the condition of the items. The part is apr. 7 1/2 inches in diameter and apr. 9 inches long including the part that hooks in to the stove. It is apr. 3/4 inch thick. There is loss and wear to the plated finish along with an area of pitting which is shown in a closeup. We did not notice any damage. Cracks, chips, etc. The pictures should show the rest. Old Cook Stove Grate Shaker and Stove Lid Lifter Cast Iron OLD
Here are two old cast iron items that were used in the old cook stoves. Heaters or parlor heaters. First is the lifter that was used to lift the round metal plates from the top of the cook stoves or heaters. It measures about 8 1/4 inches long and does have some rust and wear from age and use, but nothing is broken and it can still be used today. There is no makers mark on it. Next is the shaker to shake the ashes down from the grates. It too shows wear from age, but nothing broken off and it also is ready to be used again. The hole that goes into the grate is rectangle in shape, it measures about 7/8 of an inch by about 3/4 an inch, and is about an inch deep. It has a curved handle.
