Antique or vintage cast iron with enamel front plate Radio stove door Harwick ??
Up for bid is an antique or vintage cast iron with a white enamel plated front plate stove door. It is marked Radio. In my research. The only Radio stove I could find was made bt Harwick. It looks like the door was chrome plated. Most of the chrome plating is gone, just a little left on some of the edges. The latch is broke/missing. There are spots, stains and a chip in the enamel finish on the front plate. I pack my postcards between 2 pieces of cardboard. Then in an envelope with a tracking number, which results in a higher price than just sticking it in an envelope. This item/items as most of the things I sell. Came from an auction, flea market, estate sale or rummage sale. Antique Cast Iron Stove Door - Industrial Steampunk Machine Age Salvage Art
This is so cool! If you like"rusty gold" this piece is for you. It's an old door off an antique cast iron stove. What a great decor item inside or out if you're into steampunk or just good'ole salvage from yesteryear. The detail in the iron work is phenomenal I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I did not try to clean it up in any manner other than to wipe it off with a damp rag to remove the surface dust and dirt. Many will appreciate it as is. Some will want to see if they can remove some of the rust and get it a little cleaner. Please note there are also lighter and darker spots throughout and I'm not sure if these color variations can be remedied with a good cleaning or not. I call that character. The door measures about 6" x 7" and is about 1 1/4" deep from the tip of the door knob ... moreto the edge of the door. I priced this reasonably so as to not rule out anyone with a good eye and appreciation for this sort of thing! Please note my shipping is FREE. Here's an old cast iron stove door. It has Buckeye 103 on one side and Ohio Stove Co. Portsmouth, Ohio on the other. A magnet will stick to this. As you can see it has rust and discoloration. This antique Bridge, Beach Company Alamo cast iron stove was found. The stove itself is non restorable, so we have as many parts from the stove we could salvage. I believe this stove was manufactured around 1920. Many of the parts have date marks 1886, 1916, 1918& 1920. These parts came off model number 268-16. But many of the parts are stamped 168& 168 Pilot Mohawk. I'm not sure of the brand of stove that it was part of as there are no marks that I can see to identify it. Restoring this piece to a working stove would be great, but it could also be ... morerepurposed as interior or garden wall decor. The rusty patina is super attractive and I have left it as it was found. Measurements are about 12-3/4” overall width(including the latch& hinge brackets) or 10-7/8" for just the door x 8" height. Vintage antique cast iron pot bellied stove door vent This vintage cast iron door vent is a very nice piece. It is 16-3/8" long. Measuring the end piece. It is about 8-7/8" on the ends. As you can see in the photos, the depth from the floor thru the center hole is 4-1/4" in depth. It has one spur that is viewed to hold it in place. There is no ID on this piece at all.
