The gentleman that I purchased this from is the one who had purchased it at the Estate auction around 1996. With the intent on installing it in his older Shelbyville home's kitchen which was undergoing a restoration. Anyway, he decided to go a different direction on the appliances, and that is when I came to own this remarkable stove. It was late 1996 when I purchased it. And the gentleman to me a story that I must pass on to you. The lady who originally bought this stove had used it daily since new, but being in her late 80's and a widow was pressured by her family to get a"new fangled" stove with autopilot features as they were concerned for her safety with a standing pilot light, and they were even going to pay for it. She refused over and over again until finally one day she said she would accept a"new" stove as long as they had"her" trusty companion"stove" installed down in the basement so that she could cook her Holiday dinner on her own stove. And so it would be! But when the kids were cleaning up the her old house for the estate sale. They noticed how clean the"new" stove was, and came to the conclusion that she had in fact not been using it at all, but going up and down the basement stairs everyday until her death. HMMMMMph? Anyway. When I purchased this in 1996, I took to the local appliance store for a"once over" cleaning, inspection, tune-up as well as having the oven controller removed and sent out to the Tulsa Stove Hospital to have it re-calibrated. I also had the top burners and grate re-porcelained by a company in Tennessee. I was having a"new" Victorian Country built, and this was installed upon moving in. My wife and I have enjoyed this stove up until May 2010, when we updated the kitchen with new SS appliances and a commerc

Great lot here. I have no idea how old they are or what they fit. Maybe a how comfort but in no way do I guarantee that.SOme of them have several chips around the rim. They have a lot of tarnishing surface rust and some pitting. the spacer that goes in between two eyes is a little bowed and has a crack. They need a good cleaning. The larger eyes measure approx 7 15/16 and the one with holes and writing measures 6 3/4. Even with the condition these are hard to find and im starting them at a very reasonable price. This is a nice old group of 4 cast iron wood or coal burner grates. They are 3 3/4" tall. The back is 2" wide, front is 1 1/2" wide at the top and about 1 1/4" wide at the bottom. For Sale is a stove grate shaker handle. Used for coal or wood stove. The handle looks to have the following numbers/letters on it, MAJESTIC RANGES" Some of the letters are on real clear on the handle in the pictures because I think the paint is a little thicker in places and makes the letters a little hard to see. The length of the insides of the square ends look to be about 5/8 inch or a little less each of the four ways on the square and the circles on the square end each look to be about about 1/2 inch in diameter. This Stove was once is magnificent condition. I cooked a vast array of home cooked meals and some of the best baked breads in this stove. It is a light green and cream colored enamel and cast iron stove. I believe it is of the late 1800's but not certain. This stove is a restoration project. It has some missing parts. I'm sure there was more to this originally. It is approximately 10.5"x10.5" and 5" tall. No breaks or repairs in the cast-iron. It weighs a bit over 5 pounds. It would make a nice decorative piece for an imaginative person. It has a nice figural industrial. Steam punk look. Kind of victorian. I have not found any markings on it that identify its manufacturer. If you recognize this please tell me what it is exactly. i assume it was for camping or cooking use of some sort. The stove comes with a wooden box, a gas hose and the green pressure regulator. The pressure regulator is marked"Fisher Y200-1" The box appears to have been made specifically for this stove because it fits perfectly. There is also a custom holder with spring loaded release to hold the regulator in place. The stove measures 29 1/2" long by 13" deep and 6 1/2" tall. Offered is a cast iron stove eye lifter and shaker wrench tool. These were used to lift the eyes. Or lids on old cook and heating stoves. This piece is unmarked beyond"446, so I am unable to connect it with a particular maker or era. It is obviously an older piece. It's a particularly robustly made piece with a smallish lifting lug. The lifter is about 8-1/2 inches long and weighs about 11 ounces. I can't find the slightest damage beyond light use marks and some surface roughness. Likely from the original casting. It has a smaller half-moon shaped lifting lug, measuring about 1/2 by 1/8 inch. These can sometimes be ground a bit to fit a particular eye. It has one of those odd shaker wrench tools opposite the lifting lug, and there is a bit of casting sprue remaining in it. This part of the tool may also be for adjusting interior ... morevents, particularly in cookstove ovens. I've posted lots of pictures so you can look it over. Old Cook Stove Grate Shaker and Stove Lid Lifter Cast Iron OLD
Here are two old cast iron items that were used in the old cook stoves. Heaters or parlor heaters. First is the lifter that was used to lift the round metal plates from the top of the cook stoves or heaters. It measures about 8 1/4 inches long and does have some rust and wear from age and use, but nothing is broken and it can still be used today. There is no makers mark on it. Next is the shaker to shake the ashes down from the grates. It too shows wear from age, but nothing broken off and it also is ready to be used again. The hole that goes into the grate is rectangle in shape, it measures about 7/8 of an inch by about 3/4 an inch, and is about an inch deep. It has a curved handle. This vintage cast iron cook stove is in excellent condition for age. The stove is in fully functioning condition. The enamel is nearly perfect. I do have the parts to convert to gas/propane.
