Even has the really cool cap with arrow on it that moves to show the kerosene level. Even the wick adjustment knob is detailed with a flower. Burner is empty with no cracks that we can see. It has all the metal emblems and embellishments that is should have as far as I can tell. Looks like everything is there and would probably work fine(my opinion) but I'm not an expert.There is only light surface rust as far we can tell and would paint up nice or left as is for that great patina look. The top of the unit opens where it would reveals the burner. This is just a great piece. Not seeing many dings or dents. Maybe a small on here or there. Handle is intact. This is a nice old group of 4 cast iron wood or coal burner grates. They are 3 3/4" tall. The back is 2" wide, front is 1 1/2" wide at the top and about 1 1/4" wide at the bottom. Several of these form a circle in the burner area, they are in great shape, no chips or cracks. This looks good. Items as pictured. I have other vintage items. The viewing window is made of a plastic type of material and is dented in a bit. The feet are worn/corroded around the edges but still have enough material to support the stove. This is used and very dirty. There is some paint and other marks on it as well. There is a used wick in it. The knob turns fairly easily but not very far either way. I never had to use one of these before so I don't know if that is normal or not. The handle is secure. The whole thing is about 8.5" tall and 8.5" across the bottom. Puritan Sad Iron Single Burner Heater Here's an 1890's Puritan single burner sad iron(flat iron) heater with a very heavy base. These burners were used to heat the sad or flat iron to press the family laundry prior to the introduction of electricity. These irons had patent dates ranging between 1865 to 1901. There's a cork stopper where you'd put the kerosene in. The Puritan label on the base is in very good condition for the age of this piece. There are a few breaks in the mica front but it is present and intact. Top portion is quite rusty; the bottom portion. Painted black, is wearing quite well. The top of the burner shows has rust. The inside of the tank is dirty cannot tell if there’s any rust. The wick on the inside on the tanks looks good. The outside on the side at bottom part of the tank, looks like crack lines all the way around the tank, on the inside of the tank the parts I could see, I could not see any cracks. Antique Double Burner Cast Iron & Metal Portable Stove/Heater Railroad Hunting
Rare find from an Eastern Shore of Maryland Estate with this early 1900/late 1800 cast iron and metal double burner heater and stove. While these pieces were mostly seen traveling the early rails in caboose cars for the train workers to keep warm and fix meals they found a ready home with the early hunt camps and duck blinds. Easy to move and run on kerosene they were especially welcome in the early morning hours in the duck and goose blinds for warmth and keeping the coffee pot going. This aged survivor is believed to have been part of the early duck hunting camps that were and still are popular today in the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This one is cast with“Gardner Mass. The factory made a number for sale under a few different names and while this one might have sported a label it’s long gone to time. It does still have what appears to be ... morethe original wick and while it appears to be missing the cap. Cork plugs where the factory installed caps. This piece still sports the original mica windows for burners but as the pictures show the mica has scratches and cracks. The cast iron base is intact with no cracks or chips and the metal top in solid without the heavy signs of wear and rust common to the remains that show up. All parts still function with the wick and the knobs turn easy moving the wick up or down. There is one repair where the window to one burner is installed with a modern screw and nut as you see in the pictures. Up for auction is a Vintage Working Perfection Stove/Heater# 500 Wick Burner Kerosene/Oil Tank Type Complete. It's in good used working condition. The Tank is in good condition with some minor surface rust. The Fuel Gage. Filler Cap, and Wick Adjuster all works good. The Flame Spreader has surface rust and on one side its smashed down a little bit but works fine. The Gallery that surrounds the wick is thin perforated Brass with a small tin handle. The handle has just about rusted off and the brass has three small cracks. It still works you just have to be careful when you take it off to get to the wick. I am offering a used perfection heater kerosene tank/ burner assembly with a float and gage. The burner is in good condition with some rust on the upper portion of the tank. Mild rust on the adjustment knob and on the burner top, mild metal toning and heavy dust and dirt. The wick control knob turns up and down easy. The inside of the tank has mild white corrosion and some light dirt.

The only writing I can see on it is stamped on the top of the burner and it appears to read as follows: PATENTS PENDING JULY 10. 1900, NOV 13, 1900, FEB 11, 1902" I believe this stove is over 100 years old and it is in great condition for its age. The tank, fuel gage, filler cap, wick adjuster, and flame spreader are all intact and in very good condition. The folk art is beautiful. Around the burner on the red part are the numbers 2250.198.2.2500.710 and the word OTHER. On the bottom are words that I can not make out and I can see TYPE U. I didn't see another like this on ebay. The top piece that has the handle like pull turns off and the center pops up. It stands 4 1/2" tall and the bottom diameter is 5" Is it complete- I do not know but I consider it quite a unique piece. I had a hard time finding out what it is but to the best of my research I believe it is a Kerosene Heater burner. Stands about 12" tall and about 10" across. Has" E.M. CO. MADE IN USA" on the top. It has some issues like a few dents as shown in pictures and the pedestal is coming lose from the base and needs to be soldered or welded. It is missing a wick and the knob that you turn to raise the wick. The parts at the top are not brass but iron or steal and have rusted. This is by Cleveland FDY CO, dates to the 1800s was used for heating sad/flat irons. It stands about 9 and 1/4" tall, by 6 and 1/2" by 5" Has the glass window still intact. Here we have an Antique Dual Burner Sad Iron Heater/Kerosene Stove. I believe this item is from the late 1800's. This stove is in very good condition. It appears to be complete and in tact. Except for one of the burner screens is missing. There is no damage to the cast iron bottom/tank or to the metal stove itself. The 2 burner dials move the wicks up and down but the right dial is sticky/hard to turn. The right view window covering is flimsy. The fill cap for the tank will need a new cork insert in order to seal properly. I Have NOT Tested This Item. Now that I've beat up the description of my stove. Let me clarify. This Is A Really NICE Old Piece! Especially when you take into consideration it's about 125 years old. The stove measures 8 1/2" tall by 5 3/4" squared and weighs about 5 lbs. Offered is this fully functional antique large brass Kerosene Parlor Stove Heater. The font measures 10 1/2 inches in diameter. Standing 5 inches tall. The overall height of the heater is 9 1/4 inches, weighing 4 pounds 1 ounce. This features a threaded fuel filler cap, a working fuel gauge and a wick adjusting knob that raises and lowers its 3 1/2 inch diameter wick. Raised lettering on top of flame spreader reads" PATENTED AUG.14.88 AUG.26.90 SEP T.9.90 JUNE.17.90 JUNE.16.91 JAN.5.98" This stove was well cared for and stored away clean. When found in the attic there was no soot or waxy deposits and someone even took the time to properly clean its wick. There is a crack in the side air screen that is not visibly intrusive and will not affect its heating performance(it is shown in detail on the last picture provided) There are also ... moreminor dings and dents from ordinary use. There is a bracket on each side of the font where a carrying handle can attach but we could not find the handle anywhere. There are no leaks in the font and no repairs. This is a working heater and also makes an awesome display piece.

We have for sale a Vintage Perfection Kerosene Enamel Heater 1691 Glass Globe Brass Burner Insert Complete Working Condition. This was a nice estate find. It took a while to clean it up but I'm glad I did. It is complete with all its working parts. I took photos of the brass burner together and apart. The wick does go up and down easily. The enamel on the heater is in very nice condition. With a few small marks, or scratches. The glass globe cleaned up nicely, no chips, cracks, or cloudiness, very nice. The metal does have some mild pitting and rust, some of which I think could still be cleaned. The heater is totally original as you see it, no repairs that I am aware of, the burner tank has no holes or repairs, some tarnishing which you can see from the photos. Antique Vintage kerosene oil lamp flat cast iron heater stove - 2 burner
This is for an used Antique Vintage kerosene oil lamp flat cast iron heater stove- 2 burner There are no marking on the stove to indicate the maker. I have been emailed: What you have there is called a Sad Iron(Flat iron) heater. It had one real purpose in life and that was to heat the clothes irons used for pressing the family laundry. They were made with 1.2, and 3 burners. Your heater will heat 2 irons at a time. When electricity was introduced into homes, the electric iron replaced need for the heaters. There seems to be a never ending supply of these heaters on ebay, because just about every housewife had one. Patent dates seem to range from about 1865 to 1901. The large wicks were meant to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area to heat the irons quickly. You may want to add the words Sad Iron or Flat iron to your listing, ... moreso that the sad iron collectors will find the heater in a search. The heaters are even listed in some of the Flat Iron collector books. Stove was stored in shed so it got damp and temp changing. I will try to describe the stove best I can. Surface rust. Grim, dirt, pitting to the metal and corrosion in the tank. I took pictures of the two cracks to the stove grate and break and missing cast iron on the burner. Two windows are all there with a few lines bubbles from the layers to make the window. Knobs turn the wick up and down. Look at the pictures closely to see the condition of the stove. It was picked up at estate sale. Scuffs. Rubs, and soiling present. I have not attempted to clean any part of this item. Please email with any further questions or concerns prior to bidding.
