The gentleman that I purchased this from is the one who had purchased it at the Estate auction around 1996. With the intent on installing it in his older Shelbyville home's kitchen which was undergoing a restoration. Anyway, he decided to go a different direction on the appliances, and that is when I came to own this remarkable stove. It was late 1996 when I purchased it. And the gentleman to me a story that I must pass on to you. The lady who originally bought this stove had used it daily since new, but being in her late 80's and a widow was pressured by her family to get a"new fangled" stove with autopilot features as they were concerned for her safety with a standing pilot light, and they were even going to pay for it. She refused over and over again until finally one day she said she would accept a"new" stove as long as they had"her" trusty companion"stove" installed down in the basement so that she could cook her Holiday dinner on her own stove. And so it would be! But when the kids were cleaning up the her old house for the estate sale. They noticed how clean the"new" stove was, and came to the conclusion that she had in fact not been using it at all, but going up and down the basement stairs everyday until her death. HMMMMMph? Anyway. When I purchased this in 1996, I took to the local appliance store for a"once over" cleaning, inspection, tune-up as well as having the oven controller removed and sent out to the Tulsa Stove Hospital to have it re-calibrated. I also had the top burners and grate re-porcelained by a company in Tennessee. I was having a"new" Victorian Country built, and this was installed upon moving in. Unit is 20”x10” and about 3.5” tall. Two metal ringless burner pads are clean and free from damage or rust. Temp control setting on the face is darn cute! LOL Two separate burner settings. One for each pad, offer Low, Med and High setting. I get heat from high and med, but none from low. Possibly thats something you can adjust. I am stupid and scared with electronics. Westinghouse logo on the front screams 1954! But I am not certain of the age. The bottom has engraved: Westinghouse. Mansfield, OHIO. Cat. Here is an extremely clean antique Grand Stove by Cleveland Stove Works. I'm guessing from the 1920s or 30s. It is in complete working order. Has the original racks and burners! This stove has been lovingly maintained over the years. The Jadite colored knobs and handles set this stove apart from the others! Would look gorgeous in a vintage retro kitchen. The iron grates have been seasoned as one would do to a cast iron pan, which gives a nice color to the iron. We are selling this awesome stove as is- meaning buyer uses at own risk. But haven't gone into excessive detailed cleaning as is obvious in some of the pictures. All of these knobs and handle are originally from a Dixie gas stove. But should interchange with some other stoves. The handle measures about 11 3/4 inches long and the screws are 6 inches apart on center. The chrome handle is free of any rust. The white handle ends appear to be bakelite and are slightly more greyish on the bottom side(shown) The Wilcolator oven dial is in very nice condition aside from some paint loss. The chrome ring also ... morevery nice. There are 4 white knobs of which 2 show some damage on the back only- one slightly melted. One with a hairline crack. Both worked fine when removed. There were 3 with chrome-ish covers. One came right off while I was cleaning it to reveal the etched lettering below. The two remaining center covers are glued on quite well. Knobs & oven racks for an old antique stove
Guys. I am very sorry i dont have more info on these, so i jus took a pic of the stove they coome off of. and i just soaked thes and wiped them off, they will come cleaner, just didnt want to do anything else that might mess them up to someone who knows wat there doing. The oven racks measure roughly 17 3 quarter in by 15 3 quarter in. and i think all the knobs are here except for one of the front burners. you can zoom in i think. there is 2 rears.a thermostat oven, an MM, a selector, a front, and a bar& kewer knob?
