Beautifully restored circa 1923 Bridge Beach. Superior Eureka gas, coal and wood stove. I replated all of the nickel and the original blue and white finish is in beautiful condition, with a few blemishes. I only cooked on the wood side once, but I've used the gas side for the last few years and it works great. The thermostat in gas oven is actually quite accurate. The wood and coal part consists of four burners and the lower oven. Then there are the frour natural gas cooking burners and the one simmer burner on the right side. Up above on the left is the gas oven which is controlled by a very accurate thermostat. On ther right is the gas broiler. It is the most furocious broiler I've ever seen. Take a look at the picture. I've had this baby a long time. No room anymore gotta go. I picked this up from an old guy in Temple City about twenty years ago when I first started out with appliances. I've had some fairly serious people tell me the red knobs and handles are unknown and unseen or exceptionally rare. With black knobs I could easily get five hundred for this. Cleaned up and restored this is worth about $3500 dollars? Yes. I can deliver this to a local address if we can work it out, say, within 100 miles, but it is not intended for installation as a finished appliance. Vintage 1950's Murray Gas Range straight out of historical New Orleans. LA. Just imagine all the pots of home cooked gumbo, jambalaya and étouffée this stove has seen. This piece of history was destine for the scrapyard. It's a cool vintage piece that caught my eye, I just couldn't let it go to waste. It seems like it could be a cool restoration project, or if you just like that old rustic patina. This is a one of a kind. Of course it's a 60 something year old range the was obviously used judging by the little bit of missing finish on top. It's also missing one of the knobs the burner grills. And as you can tell by the tape, the doors don't stay closed too willingly. All the wires seem to be in good shape as well as all the pluming. With plated cast iron legs and frame. We know this because both the antique and the later reproduction were at the same estate auction. We guarantee this is the antique and it's in very clean. Highly displayable condition. This stove represented an actual full-sized stove then being made by Qualifed Range Co. of Ft. Re cov ery. Ohio. Samples that were made for Karr Range are so similar( the only ... moredifference we note is the different name on the fire box cover. Usually Karr Range Co. Belleville, I ll. th at it seems very likely there was a connect ion b etween the two companies. Especially since some have turned up marked"Qualified Rge. Co. Belleville, IL" and others"Karr Qualified Range" Please note that the blue surfaces are a medium-glossy finish that made it difficult to photo without reflections. We were able to eliminate most of the reflections by photoing from different angles. Also. Please note that all the blue is uniform and all the same shade(no lighter or darker areas) The flat side panels in photo 4 are very close to the true color. The stove. Which measures 20-7/8" x 12-1/2" x 8-3/4" functions just like the full-sized model. At first I thought this had been converted to gas. I realize now it has a hot water heater in place. The back view is of the 3/4" line coming in and if you look to the left you will see a hole in stove body. This line serpintines back and forth over the burner box and ends with a 90 elbow facing this hole. It needs a 10" straight shot of pipe to bring out of the hole. The threads on the 90 elbow look usable. 34" wide or 41" wide with right pan leaf in place. 31" deep from back to front oven handle. 30" tall to top of stove burner plates. 61" tall to top of backsplash. When the Wrought iron range company first started they made their pans out of the same cast iron as their stoves. They iron skillets warped so badly they are hardly ever found. This is a early water bucket made to hang on the side of the range when not in use. I guess since water was used in this bucket it kept it at the same temperature.It did not warp like the skillets do. I have seen a couple of these buckets on line but never with the early patent date on it. They are from a later manufacturing after the cast iron was changed. Antique STOVE range gas kerosene? 1900s? 1910s? 1920s?
I really don't know what year it is or much about it. If you do. I would gladly offer some advise and will revise my listing. I bought it and was going to convert it for use in a house I am remodeling, but I have decided to use a modern stove instead. It is in pretty good shape. Just a few little chips in the porcelain. The handles are rusted a little but I think will clean up well. The left side top lifts up for the burners and the right side is an oven. It appears everything is there and it is certainly a neat item. I think it is 1920's. Could be used as is or lightly restored. I will gladly place on a pallet and prepare for shipment for an additional $25. I will not however order or prepay for shipping, that is up to you. I do not care to have the liability.
