2 Original Antique Cast Iron Majestic Wood Burning Stove Shelves With Brackets I have to tell you about the auction that I went to this week. It was in Geneva Illinois. In a sandstone building that was built before the Civil War. The sale was the final liquidation of an antique store(they‘d had one previous auction- so much stuff, they had to have two) that used to operate out of this location- but the building has been closed, as well as the business, for over 20 years following the passing of the previous owners. Now, we’re talking two stories, an attic and a basement PACKED with antiques- it’s hard to imagine, and all of it just sitting for two decades. These folks had amassed a huge antique collection- many many items dating back to the early 1800s and before. There’s some gorgeous pieces of primitive Americana that I found. I can’t tell ... moreyou how excited I am to be listing my treasures from the sale. I will be listing them for weeks to come. I also have the last of my farm auctions and South Dakota finds listed this week, so there’s something for everyone! I have to apologize for my hard to figure out photos of these two old stove shelves. All 4 pieces are wired together in order to keep from separating. And I couldn't unwind them without a pair of gloves or at least a tinsnip! What I have(whether or not you could tell! is a pair of original Majestic brand wood stove shelves. Dating to the late 1800s, early 1900s, both of these shelves would have been mounted inside of the brackets that you see with them on the back wall of the stove. The brackets would have been at the base of the shelves, and the shelves folded up flush against the back of the stove for when not in use. You can see that each shelf has a pin on either side that fits into the openings on the brakcets. The brackets then each have two holes for mounting on the wall of the stove. You are bidding on a Vintage 1910 Great Majestic wood/coal burning stove by The Majestic MFG CO. out of St. Louis Missouri U.S.A. This piece has a great look and I believe for the most part is complete other than oven rack. This stove is clearly dated september of 1910(see picture) The exact measurements are 61" tall. 36" wide and 27" in depth. There is heavy rust on inside and not so much on outside, and a small crack on one of the small front plates, but piece is not missing and can be welded(see picture) but not so bad for being 113 years old. There is an advertisement"MAJESTIC LOGO" which is oven temprature gauge and needle, both glass and advertismen are in tact and look great. Advertisement has a great look as it is a very antique lookin clipper ship. All doors and latches open just fine and all grill plates ... moreare there(also including 3 plate rods for lifting plates up) This is a great collectors piece for display and if really serious i'm sure this can be restored. I have all inside racks and plates in boxes for transportation reasons as this stove is EXTREMELY HEAVY as it is made of cast iron. This funky antique Majestic Stove Scale measures just over 8" tall. The base is 8" by 6-1/8" The top is a white glazed tile- original. The Majestic name is on the dial. And it has decals on both sides. One is in good condition, the other is pretty faded. It shows considerable usage- no dents, but has rusty areas on the base.

Die cast metal weighting close to 1 lb with a working end opening of 1/2 to 5/8" dia. Mfg by Majestic Co but should work on most any brand wood stove or range with this size dia. Very nice piece!

Up for bid is a Rare Vintage The Great Majestic Antique Cook Stove No 644 from circa 1930. In 1979 I purchased a home in western Kansas with this little beauty in it. The home had been built in 1925 and I am sure it was the top stove of the day. I have kept it all these years and moved it along with me thinking that one day I would move it to a little cabin by the lake and make it useful once again. Obviously. That did not happen. It has remained silent in storage all these years. Now, I would like to see someone else do with it what I couldn't. It stands 58" to 60" in height. It is 35" wide and 31" deep. From the floor to the top of the cooking area is 31" and the oven door is 18" As you can see from the photos, every main part is still included. There are two removable work space panels that clip on to the upper right side edge. One of the two panel pieces has the name Majestic in cut out letters. The stove is complete. It has all of its original doors and levers. All of the doors open and latch closed as they should. The top has two warming slots or storage compartments. The doors on them have the Majestic name in raised lettering. The oven door has a fantastic decorative front plate with an early ship and the name Majestic around it. The vents on the side are complete and in good shape. All four iron legs are complete. The stove is very solid and all components work. It has rust and old wear like antique cast iron tends to have. The nickel details like railings and end caps are complete but have rust. The stove displays beautifully as it is, but could be cleaned with a restored finish if preferred. The damper control on the center smoke pipe functions and has the name St. Louis in raised lettering. It has all six 4" removable heat plates.
