Restored Antique Bridge Beach Superior Eureka Gas, Coal and Wood Stove Range
Beautifully restored circa 1923 Bridge Beach. Superior Eureka gas, coal and wood stove. I replated all of the nickel and the original blue and white finish is in beautiful condition, with a few blemishes. I only cooked on the wood side once, but I've used the gas side for the last few years and it works great. The thermostat in gas oven is actually quite accurate. The wood and coal part consists of four burners and the lower oven. Then there are the frour natural gas cooking burners and the one simmer burner on the right side. Up above on the left is the gas oven which is controlled by a very accurate thermostat. On ther right is the gas broiler. It is the most furocious broiler I've ever seen. Take a look at the picture. I've had this baby a long time. No room anymore gotta go. I picked this up from an old guy in Temple City about twenty years ago when I first started out with appliances. I've had some fairly serious people tell me the red knobs and handles are unknown and unseen or exceptionally rare. With black knobs I could easily get five hundred for this. Cleaned up and restored this is worth about $3500 dollars? Yes. I can deliver this to a local address if we can work it out, say, within 100 miles, but it is not intended for installation as a finished appliance. MURRAY GAS RANGE 1950's Antique
Vintage 1950's Murray Gas Range straight out of historical New Orleans. LA. Just imagine all the pots of home cooked gumbo, jambalaya and étouffée this stove has seen. This piece of history was destine for the scrapyard. It's a cool vintage piece that caught my eye, I just couldn't let it go to waste. It seems like it could be a cool restoration project, or if you just like that old rustic patina. This is a one of a kind. Of course it's a 60 something year old range the was obviously used judging by the little bit of missing finish on top. It's also missing one of the knobs the burner grills. And as you can tell by the tape, the doors don't stay closed too willingly. All the wires seem to be in good shape as well as all the pluming. Antique STOVE range gas kerosene? 1900s? 1910s? 1920s?
I really don't know what year it is or much about it. If you do. I would gladly offer some advise and will revise my listing. I bought it and was going to convert it for use in a house I am remodeling, but I have decided to use a modern stove instead. It is in pretty good shape. Just a few little chips in the porcelain. The handles are rusted a little but I think will clean up well. The left side top lifts up for the burners and the right side is an oven. It appears everything is there and it is certainly a neat item. I think it is 1920's. Could be used as is or lightly restored. Stove was part of an inheritance and has been stored in the garage for several years. As one might expect it has some rust. Overall it's in good condition. As with any gas appliance I would recommend installation and serviced by qualified personnel. The quality of these stoves are far superior to those made today. Vintage Robertshaw gas oven control knob and spring fits O'keefe& Merritt ranges from the 40's& 50's. Pictured knob and spring is from stove I was going to restore. I decided to parted it out instead. The only parts left is this Knob and spring. No apparent breaks or cracks but was used daily so it is worn, it' s more than 50 years old so the black lettering is faded. The brass stem is 1-1/16 inch long from where it is mounted in the knob. It protrudes 7/8 inch from the bottom edge of the dial. The Spring is about 2- 3/4 inches tall. This knob is used. It is not new, I am not a business selling large quantities of new knobs. The electrical cord could be replaced as it does show signs of dry-rot which is typical of a 50+ year old unit. The upper left knob is cracked but in working condition. It has a Robert Shaw thermostat and is a cast iron 4 burner with warming drawer below cooking surface. The oven is top right with second boiler oven below.
