Absolutely beautiful. Footed, ornate, and BLUE antique heater! I don't know if it works as I have not tested it. It has the original marker: CHEERFUL RADIANT HEATER PATENTED ADAMS BROS. MFG CO INC PITTSBURG, PA. I do not see these often especially in this color! This is very ornate and a beautiful blue. Here is a small antique gas porcelain space heater with cast iron feet. I think it was originally the green color. was painted brown, which i am sure can be removed, or the original was the black on the side, i just am not sure. Of course there are some nics on the porcelain in a few spots. Cute little stove. It is about 13 1/2 inches tall& 6 1/2 across. There is a plate on the side, which probably has the maker on it, which is covered up with paint.

An amazing Welsbach Kern cast iron gas mantle burner dating back to the 1870s and the beginnings of gas lighting. This was sold as a fabulous advance in technology casting the light of many candles. This was also a major advancement in safety for that time period so to have one was a true luxury. All taps and valves appear tight and firm but I have not tested this out. The markings. Red, green, and blue glass inserts The name“Superior” can be seen on the lighting door. The door opens easily by moving the lift arm at the right end of the heater. In photo#2 the door is open. The burner bar is threaded on one end and capped on the other. The top row of glass inserts is red. The one on the right end is chipped and cracked. The inserts in the bottom row are blue. Great conversation piece! This is an original 4 piped jeweled Vulcan W.M. Crane& Co made in New York. The pipes still have their original black finished and have not rusted. Many of these stoves you will find rusted out. The jewels are in good condition and they really pop when lit up. The heater still has it's original gas components and could be hooked back up to accept gas. Currently. The heater has one small light retro-fitted and can be plugged in to show off the lights. It definitely needs a few more lights if you want to show it off a little more. The gas valve moves freely and is not ceased. Condition: Antique wear. Center connections for hot and cold water, heavy double seamless-drawn copper coil, casting and finish of usual Vulcan smoothness and finish. Rove diameter of base 8 1/2" Length of the jacket is 24" and consumption 50 to 60 cu ft, and weighs 50 lbs. As shown in the pictures. All parts seem to be there, some rusting in areas, the top pipe I could not remove so I will have to cut it for shipping and will leave enough to get the pipe wrench on it. Offered for auction is this beautiful repainted Victorian Cast Iron and Sheet Steel Parlor Room Gas Heater. The stove base outside identifies it as a H.P. stove. We have not been able to find out anything about this manufacturer. There is the number A 673 on the underside of the silver top which is removeable. And A 674 on the underside of the base. These silver parts look to have been sandblasted clean and repainted with the silver finsh. The ornate sheet steel center has also so been redone in flat black high intensity paint. The 3 legs are flared and the silver base and the removeable silver top all feature intricate scroll work. Ohio manufactured the old Sands 50 hot water heater. This was in a house my father purchased back in 1953. Eventually he sold the house and some years later the house was to be torn down. I managed to salvage the heater that was adjacent to the coal furnace. I do remember when we wanted to take a bath we had to go down in the basement and light the heater. It weighs 36 pounds. For your bidding consideration is an antique/vintage HUMPHREY RADIANTFIRE Heater#31! This home heater/stove is from the 20's and has a decorative art deco look. Heavy metal/cast iron? I saw an ad from the early 20's for these stoves and the only way these could be obtained was from the General Gas Co. The ad stated this adds a warm. Friendly, personality to any home. Has a mellow glow and irresistable invitation to settle down in that comfy arm chair and light up the briar pipe. Experience the deep contentment of true fireplace magic. Burns natural or manufactured gas without a suggestion of odor. The heat is projected by radiant rays straight out into the room and not up the chimney. I moved into a house built in 1903 and this was in the formal dining room fireplace and was what they used to heat the room back in the day. The stove ... moreis in overall great condition of it's age and has been sitting in my fireplace for 10+ years and was well taken care of. The front is beautiful without dents and ornate decorative brass tops to either side and down the sides and the base. These would probably shine up nice with a good metal cleaner. The front grid lifts up to get to the burners and has the original ceramic back and you can see the holes where the gas comes out. This also has the stand up ceramic/clay type burners. Only one of them appears to be broken. The paint is in great condition to the front but the back has some superficial surface rust noted and the stove could use a good overall cleaning to bring back to it's original luster. There is also a sticker on the side that says Testing laboratory approved and the Humphrey Radiantfire brass tag on the front bottom. There is sturdy free standing legs to the base and, but does not have the original pipe coming from the stove that is attached to the turn knob to adjust the flame. We have for your consideration this very nice Estate Find: Antique Humphrey No. 31 Radiantfire gas Fireplace insert Heater) This is an early 1900's Humphrey Radiant Fire Gas Heater that has been designed with Ten Burners. Very well taken care of. Its was used regularly by the previous owner. The working parts such as the manifold. Burners, ceramic back, and fittings all appear to be in very good condition. The stove is very ornate and that includes the gas valve knob with its fancy iron/brass design! Of course. The valve moves smoothly and closes positively. Of course. It's not perfect- it's 90 or so years old! It does have some light handling damage like chips, dents and surface rust, especially in the back where it got hot and baked the paint off. All of the metal is still very strong ... moreas designed. The ceramic is totally intact and undamaged. The Ten Burners are also in great usable condition and show no major abuse. The iron manifold and valve looks in very good condition. I f you plan on using it as a heater. I would strongly recommend that you have a professional look it over to be on the safe side. Antique/Vintage Estate Heatrola Gas Heater
Selling a BEAUTIFUL Gas Heatrola Heater by Estate Stove. The enamel on this heater is absolutely stunning! I did a quick dust down on it before I took the pictures. But with a good cleaning this thing will look brand new. The dimensions are almost 4 feet tall, almost 2 feet wide and a foot and half deep. It weighs an absolute ton, so be prepared to bring a truck. I can help load. I have not seen it in action but I imagine with any vintage gas heater the chances of it not working are almost next to zero. Everything looks great including the legs. There is only a minimum amount of rust. But very very little. It also comes with the outside filters. Please let me know if you have any questions. This is a local pickup only!
