The gentleman that I purchased this from is the one who had purchased it at the Estate auction around 1996. With the intent on installing it in his older Shelbyville home's kitchen which was undergoing a restoration. Anyway, he decided to go a different direction on the appliances, and that is when I came to own this remarkable stove. It was late 1996 when I purchased it. And the gentleman to me a story that I must pass on to you. The lady who originally bought this stove had used it daily since new, but being in her late 80's and a widow was pressured by her family to get a"new fangled" stove with autopilot features as they were concerned for her safety with a standing pilot light, and they were even going to pay for it. She refused over and over again until finally one day she said she would accept a"new" stove as long as they had"her" trusty companion"stove" installed down in the basement so that she could cook her Holiday dinner on her own stove. And so it would be! But when the kids were cleaning up the her old house for the estate sale. They noticed how clean the"new" stove was, and came to the conclusion that she had in fact not been using it at all, but going up and down the basement stairs everyday until her death. HMMMMMph? Anyway. When I purchased this in 1996, I took to the local appliance store for a"once over" cleaning, inspection, tune-up as well as having the oven controller removed and sent out to the Tulsa Stove Hospital to have it re-calibrated. I also had the top burners and grate re-porcelained by a company in Tennessee. I was having a"new" Victorian Country built, and this was installed upon moving in. Antique or vintage cast iron with enamel front plate Radio stove door Harwick ??
Up for bid is an antique or vintage cast iron with a white enamel plated front plate stove door. It is marked Radio. In my research. The only Radio stove I could find was made bt Harwick. It looks like the door was chrome plated. Most of the chrome plating is gone, just a little left on some of the edges. The latch is broke/missing. There are spots, stains and a chip in the enamel finish on the front plate. I pack my postcards between 2 pieces of cardboard. Then in an envelope with a tracking number, which results in a higher price than just sticking it in an envelope. This item/items as most of the things I sell. This Stove was once is magnificent condition. I cooked a vast array of home cooked meals and some of the best baked breads in this stove. It is a light green and cream colored enamel and cast iron stove. I believe it is of the late 1800's but not certain. This stove is a restoration project. It has some missing parts. Vitage 1920 Antique Barler Ideal Kerosene Heater (Blue enamel color) VERY RARE!!
You are bidding on a True Vintage Antique. This item up for bid is a 1920 Kerosene Ideal Heater made by The"Barler Manufacturing Company" out of Chicago Illinois U.S. of A. The color of this model is a very rare find as I've only seen this exact color once and I've seen a WHOLE lot of them. This particular one was bought from an Amish family in Pennsylvania Amish country. The actual size is about 25" tall and 13" wide and it is absolutely beautiful. This Barler heater is in a great condition for being 93 years old and coming up on it's 100th birtday(a bit of rust but not full on rust color at all) It is fully operational(still please have inspected if going to use Ideal heater for every day use) and fully unrestored(being original state and looking great is rare) The nickel plating chrome still shines nicely(see ... morereflections in pictures) as does the powder baby blue(or North Carolina blue) enamelware paint. If you look at the provided pictures you will also see the gold of the kerosene tank looks awesome condition with hardley any rust and the craftmanship in the design of the tank knobs and features are timeless early 1900's style. The cast iron top grill design is beautiful and has kept it's color(not rust in picture it is really a black goldish tone) and also has a beautiful 1900's style. The unbelievably best thing about the condition is. the glass of the mica window.is UNBROKEN. Is in ONE PIECE, IN TACT and has NO CRACKS! Antique 20's Green and Cream Enamel Stove
I have had this stove for 26 years. When I got it. I actually thought that I would use it! Time to clear the space, pretty as it is to look at. I don't know much about this item, but it is very similar to stoves made by the"Independent Stove Company" in the late 20's early 30's. It is made to use gas or wood and I believe can also use coal. It is not working at this time, never hooked it up, but that isn't to say that it wouldn't work. The oven door will not stay closed. I have it tied with a string. It is missing 2 knobs from the front, one of the others is broken. The enamel is chipped in a few places. It's a little rusty. The back piece/warming shelf is loose. Very nice incredibly hard to fine Victorian Stove 1875-1899. As you can see in the pictures there are two chips in the enamel. I found one small chip with the porcelain tile. There has been a repair to the cook top. the picture of the rusty bolt is what holds the handle. the handle is loose and cannot be tightened with out restoration. where the right burner is there is a trash burner I do not know if the mortar work is original but it looks very very old.The rod that I think opens the flu slightly moves but is pretty stuck. This is a beautiful stove that needs a good home. We have for sale an Antique Perfection Smokeless Enamel Model 660 Turquoise Blue Kerosene/Oil Heater. This was an estate find. It stands 24 inches in height not including the handle and the legs sit 17 inches apart at the base. The stove was PAT June 17 1913. The condition of the stove is very nice. Some light surface rust and scratches, nothing major. The enamel does show some wear at a couple places. The brass burner insert is in great condition, no holes complete with wick although you may want to change it out before firing it up. This unit has not been tested but I feel pretty confident that it will work fine. I believe it could be polished up to look even nicer. A nice display piece as well as functional. The enamel work on this piece is very detailed and built up. It has a family of owls on it along with berries and vines. The main body of the heater is cast iron. Working Antique Vintage Country Charm Enamel Electric 4-Burner Stove
This is a beautiful black and white enamel stove modified for electric by Country Charm. Everything worked when we removed it from our kitchen. Although the dials are a bit worn. The clock looks like an old coffee mill and there are small nooks and cubbies. The modern controls are hidden behind a small door on the front of the stove. The oven is very small. I have the matching electric cast iron wall oven by Country Charm that was used for additional oven space in a separate listing. It requires 220v service and vents through a stovepipe. It is extremely charming and was in our home when we moved here. But I prefer a gas range. People always commented on it when they entered our kitchen and it was a selling point for many of the people interested in buying the house. I believe it was purchased by previous owners in the 1970's when the ... morehouse was restored. This item is quite heavy- I'd estimate about 300-400 lbs. It is located in Bahama. Model# 2042 TMX. these stoves were made in the 1920's and 30's. It measures 36" tall with a 2 3/4" back splash. 40" wide and 22" deep. It is a porcelain enameled steel stove with a cream color and a jade green marble type finish. It includes the oven racks and the drip pans. The woman we got it from said it is in working condition and it seems to be intact. The bracket that holds open the burner cover broke while we were moving it, but it could be repaired or replaced. I cleaned it a bit, It will need a deeper cleaning if you intend to use it. It has some dirt and some rust but it is in excellent condition considering it's age.
