Antique Pair Electrical Wall Sconces LEVITON Architectural Salvage
Old pair of electrical wall sconces just recently salvaged from an older home in Florida. They will obviously need a restoration and wiring! No breaks or repairs to the iron bodies. I cleaned quickly with a wire brush and they appear to have been originally painted gold. Each measures 15-1/4 inches high and is 4-5/8 inches at the widest point. They protrude from the wall 6-3/4 inches. Black plastic insert into back of sconces is marked Leviton. I have the original mounting screws! Please contact me with any questions!

Antique Electrical Wall Fixture, Brass
Knighted Antique Elecetical Wall Scounce This antique wall fixture came out of house that was being torn down here in Omaha about twenty five years ago. It was almost on the way to the dump when I retrieved it! What a crime. I did not know the exact age of the house at the time but my house in that neighborhood was built in 1902. That house was built before mine was. This fixture is clearly a converted gas light. A common practice in the early 20th century as homes were converted from gas lighting to electric lighting. The wall connection at the back is a dead give away. I had never installed it in my own home because the only room where scounces were applicable needed four matching fixtures. So it has been on my bench ever since. I figure I had better get it back out there before I die off and some of these great things end up in the trash ... morebin or something! This is really cool and I just couldn't see it going to the dump way back then. It is brass with the original electrical pods for bulbs and crystals. Sadly the globes were never found. But modern replacements fit easily. This fixture is complete with the exception of a few missing screws. Most of the globe screws are even there! The cast brass mount is in a knights head surround. I have NEVER seen the like of it. It measures 10 inches across the elect. fixtures. Stands out from the wall a good four inches and the base is seven inches tall. However. It is still wired with the 100 year old loom wireing! I will not sell it to anyone who does not promise to re-wire it before they install it in their home! It could stand a little polishing too.but an excellant example of 19th century lighting fixtures!

The label inside is complete and readable with one water stain that can be seen in the photos. The hinges have some oxidation but work very well. The metal handle and latches have some slight oxidation. The interior of the unit is very clean with all the metal terminals and surfaces in very good condition. The cylinder that holds the battery is beginning to loose some of it's nickel finish. The terminals. Electrodes, handles, and wires are also in very good condition. I found this booklet at an antique store in Hickory. NC. It measures about 4" x 6" and was published in April 1947. The outside blue cover is very fragile and falling apart, but the inside pages are clean. One strange detail I just now noticed as I am trying to determine the page count is that after page 26, it suddenly jumps to page 329, which is also where the chapter"Tables, Diagrams and Examples" begins. I see no sign that any pages have been removed and I don't see how a booklet with this type of binding could have originally contained a total of 368 pages so this is an anomaly to me. Antique slate electrical panels heavily populated with copper knife switches and bus bar. Approx 20 pieces total. Over 150 sqft. Totaling approximately 2,500 lbs. the largest pieces are 82" X 42" There are dozens of large copper knife switches and hundreds of feet of heavy copper bus. Exact measurements of each panel are avl. Very heavy copper bus circuitry. These panels are over 100 years old and are in very good condition. These panels were taken out of a turn of the century mental institution. They were installed during an era when shock treatment was performed daily. Knife switches are still functional. They are NOT reproductions! Reminiscent of a H.G Wells or a Jules Verne novel. Antique Porcelain and Copper Electrical "Knife Switch" Wood Handle
Offered is this antique porcelain electrical"knife switch" with wood handle. I'm assuming the metal is copper but I'm not certain. On the bottom is"LEVITON 9913. Measures 2 5/8" X 2" X 1 1/16" The wooden handle moves the switch from side to side. There are two dark spots on the porcelain. There is a very small chip on the top at one of the screws. That was sold between the late 1890's and the early 1900's. This device may have been known as a Galvanic Stimulator. The box does not have any heavy marring but does show signs of use and mishandling. There are basic directions for the use of the device on the top inside lid. The outside box measures approximately 8 3/4" wide. 5 1/2" deep and 4 1/2" high. The bottom covering was removed. At some point, to reveal the wiring. The electrical apparatus appearers to be complete. Including the miniature Ruhmkorff coil, except for the dry cell battery. I do not know if this device would work. Never mind treat any ailments. Missing are the finger or hand electrodes. 2 ... moresponge electrodes, wiring, the dry cell battery, 2 insulating wood handles. And the Electropathic Guide Pamphlet. Antique Westinghouse Voltmeter - Vintage Electrical Instrument
This vintage instrument came out of the lab of an old factory. I have no reason to believe that it isn’t in perfect working order. But I have not tested it. As you can see, it is in great shape. The only issue is the little rubber feet on the bottom are somewhat deformed and the leather handle shows a little wear. Thanks for looking. I’ll try to answer any questions. Has a brass plaque on the case with this incised: MADE BY FRANK BETZ& CO. CHICAGO Has a moving needle with some kind of gauge and some shiny contact switches and 2 shiny silver attachments. Once powered by a battery that is long gone. Maybe the placebo effect will kick in. Sold for amusement purposes only. It's an interesting bit of Americana. Elec-treat Mechanical Heart Quack Medical device battery operated. Electric 1931. Comes with 3 instruction booklets. Spon ge with cord. The Elec-treat device, internal probe a nd the origina l box. The comb and other spon ge is missing. This 3 piece Quack electric medical device was supposed to be used to reli eve all kinds of ailments and pain. Headaches. Stiff joints. Skin, dandruff. Weak heart, and physical development, sexual"weakness, are all symptoms th at can be treated with this old school device. It does work. Batteries were installed and tested. Bu t be careful. As it can give you a jolt if you don't slowly raise the level of output. All pieces included are in good condition. The elec-treat is about 11" long by 1 3/4" circumference. The sponge is still attached. And the fiber wrapped cord isn't wripped or ... moretorn. The instruction bookle ts have some wear a few small tears. Permanent folds. And age discoloration. Antique Weston Electrical Instrument gauge timer model# 271 (parking meter?)
Welcome to Moneysatchels Bargain Bin. You are bidding on an Antique Weston Electrical Instruments Corp model# 271 gauge/timer. Part of an old meter. It resembles a parking meter(although it was not originally intended for that purpose) The gauge has several scratches and missing paint but no noticable damage. The meter has a scale of 10-60 minutes of Baking Time. The needle is pointing at 48 minutes. I am not sure if this gauge works or not but would make a nice decoration. The body is 8" wide by 6" tall by 1 3/4" thick(not including the studs on the backside which are 1 1/2" Please review the photos as they can help to describe the item and show flaws. RARE ANTIQUE ADT BEVELED GLASS ELECTRICAL PROTECTION BANK VAULT SECURITY SIGN NR
DUE TO EBAY POLICIES I DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY- USA ONLY! I'm not certain of the age of this old American District Telegraph sign. But I believe it is from the early 1900's. My research shows that it was used to advise the early use of electrical security on bank vaults. It is made of beveled glass, with stencil-type reflective lettering on the back. The back of the glass appears to be silvered, with a protective rough, dark coating, typical of silvered glass mirrors. The glass has no chips or cracks, and is clear. There is some minor darkening of the silvered backing, and a couple scratch/scuff marks, as shown. It measures 22" long, 2-1/8" wide, and about 1/4" thick. No. 17 Guage Screw Type Bezel. Silvered dial has some light oxidation dots. Glass has been puttied in place. And may not be original. It appears some of the putty got onto the bezel threads, and then in order to remove the bezel a can opener type tool was used around the base of the bezel to get the bezel off which distorted the brass.
