This bid is for a great antique Windsor No.25 stove top water heater. Made of cast iron with a copper coil inside. This was made to sit on top of a wood stove or other heat source to heat the water that would be in the tank usually close by. As the heat would rise it would heat the water in the coil and make it circulate though the tank. There is one small chip on the back side of the cap rim. Very unique and detailed the larger one has an advertisement on it with a picture of the oven and a lady taking what appears to be muffins out. The smaller one is just a picture of the oven. I can't date them but my best guess is early 1900s judging by the content of it. There is a small cap that screws off that is the fuel intake hole. On the other side is a small cap that has a little handle that can be lifted off the wick hole. I think there was a very small knob at the end. But missing. There is still a wick in place! The frame appears to be constructed of brass and has decorative feet. This little beauty is a working miniature playhouse metal cooking stove. The little stove has smoke stack. Which releases puffs of smoke when tiny timber or paper would be burned for realistic effect. There is a large fitted copper cauldron or boiler with lid, and a footed wire rack, which was found within the oven. There are two opening doors, and one drawer in the front of the metal stove. There is a towel rod, which runs the length of the sides, and front in brass. We believe the stove is iron plated in metal such as nickel, and trimmed in brass. An unusual copper camp or table top stove. The piece appears to be totally hand wrought. Dovetailed construction with perforated sides& riveted brass handles. Removable top with embossed pot/cup holders. Inside are 2 heavy gauge copper burners under brass top slide lids. Perforated wick holders with wicks. Burners formed to sit securely in stove base. Measures 14-1/4" across handles. 7-1/4" wide, 3-5/8" high to lid. Fairly heavy at 4 pounds, 1 ounce. No apparent maker's marks. Unsure of true age but I wouldn't be surprised if the piece dated to mid 1800s. Condition is very good as shown. Some areas of corrosion. Tarnish etc. Would benefit from a polish. Minor dings. This is for the piece you see here. CENTRAL WATER HEATER. 30. Very old appliance. Not sure just how old. But I assume well over 100 years old, but not sure. I cannot seem to find any others like this one anywhere. I do see other brands, and I see some referred to as SALESMAN SAMPLES, but I do not know. As far as I can tell, it is complete, with the possible exception of the exhaust stack on top. Not sure it is meant to have one or not. This is one cool collectible. I have no way to know if it works, but I assume it would if you were to hook it up. But I do not know. The tank is 17.5" tall, and with the plumbing, it is 24" I believe that the copper coils are all intact. Heavy cast aluminum piece. A beauty!
