This is a superb little Art Nouveau style log burner by the famous French company Mirus. It dates from sometime in the 1920's. It has been used as you will see from the photos. The enamel has quite a few marks/areas where it has come off(see pictures) however this has not detracted from it's look because it is an antique. Which has been useful. It is green in color. It's modest size means that it will fit quite well into any moderately sized fireplace. It's look is mid way between Art Nouveau and Arts& Crafts which is quite popular. Group of 3 Antique Cast Iron Wood Coal Stove Lid Lifters, Grate Shakers, Etc.
A group of three antique cast iron stove parts. I am unsure of the exact function of each. They could be lid lifters. Grate shakers, or something else, but they are all stove related. The first piece measures about 8-1/4" long and is marked"140" on the top of the handle. There are some casting marks on the underside of the handle as well. But they are difficult to read. The second piece m easures about 8" long. Has a casting mark on the underside of"B63" and is nickel plated. The third piece m easures about 11-1/2" long and has no casting marks or other identifiers. And is also nickel plated. The parts are used. But in good condition. The plated items do show some plating wear and minor rusting. The pictures show the condition of the items. This is a very nice antique cast iron stove made by the S.H. Ransom Co. of Albany NY. It measures aprox. 27" high x 25" wide across the front. 22" wide across the back and is 20" deep. The flue pipe size would be 5" It is in very good condition, we could find no breaks or repairs, it is just a little dusty from being in storage. It is available for pickup or can be delivered as far south as the Delaware Memorial Bridge/ Philadelphia area. Please e-mail for cost and availability.
