Group of 3 Antique Cast Iron Wood Coal Stove Lid Lifters, Grate Shakers, Etc.
A group of three antique cast iron stove parts. I am unsure of the exact function of each. They could be lid lifters. Grate shakers, or something else, but they are all stove related. The first piece measures about 8-1/4" long and is marked"140" on the top of the handle. There are some casting marks on the underside of the handle as well. But they are difficult to read. The second piece m easures about 8" long. Has a casting mark on the underside of"B63" and is nickel plated. The third piece m easures about 11-1/2" long and has no casting marks or other identifiers. And is also nickel plated. The parts are used. But in good condition. The plated items do show some plating wear and minor rusting. The pictures show the condition of the items. This is a nice old group of 4 cast iron wood or coal burner grates. They are 3 3/4" tall. The back is 2" wide, front is 1 1/2" wide at the top and about 1 1/4" wide at the bottom. Several of these form a circle in the burner area, they are in great shape, no chips or cracks. This looks good. Items as pictured. I have other vintage items. We don't know too much about it. But it is cast iron, with the top pieces looking like they are brass and copper! The only identifying mark we could find is on the bottom as photographed- BS015" in the casting. The piece measures approximately 9" across the base by 11" high. And weighs approximately 2.6 lbs!
