This is a great addition to your collection. Old antique cast iron stove top sad iron heater plate. Marked underneath pat. apl'd for and numeral 9. No breaks or cracks. Nice smooth top surface. It is designed to sit on top of a cast iron cook stove. The heater sets on three small legs. As the heat from the cook stove rises it hits the fins on the bottom of the heater and this circulates the heat to the surface of the sad iron heater top. The fins prevented the sad iron heater or the sad irons themselves from becomming to hot and warping from the direct heat of the cook stove. Questions always welcomed. Antique Cast Iron & Copper Windsor No.25 Stove Top Water Heater
This bid is for a great antique Windsor No.25 stove top water heater. Made of cast iron with a copper coil inside. This was made to sit on top of a wood stove or other heat source to heat the water that would be in the tank usually close by. As the heat would rise it would heat the water in the coil and make it circulate though the tank. There is one small chip on the back side of the cap rim. No cracks or pitting to metal, just some very light surface corrosion. Excellent condition for a century old piece. Has a diameter of 9" and a very nice heat diffusing pattern on its underside. Antique Coal Or Wood Stove Ornate Nickeled Plated Cast Iron Dome Top Cap With Knob Finial. This Antique Coal Stove Dome top was typically used as a decorative lid. For a built in humidifier on coal or wood stoves. It is nickeled plated over cast iron. With a heavy Tin knob type finial that appears to be brass plated. Most of the plating has worn off the piece, however it developed a nice aged patina to it, with some light surface rust. The knob finial can screw off. It' shaped like an oval and the underside of it marked with a V12. It measures approx. 9 and 1/2 inches long by 4 and 1/8 inches wide(at Center)

This is a finial top to an antique cast iron wood stove. It has a rustic patina. There are no cracks in the cast iron. The actual finial has rust but no cracks. The hook to swing it on the stove is still intact if it is to be used for that purpose but it can also be used for several other decorative ideas. There is a stamp/name underneath. But with the rust and natural wear it is difficult to make out as you can see in the pictures above.
