Group of 3 Antique Cast Iron Wood Coal Stove Lid Lifters, Grate Shakers, Etc.
A group of three antique cast iron stove parts. I am unsure of the exact function of each. They could be lid lifters. Grate shakers, or something else, but they are all stove related. The first piece measures about 8-1/4" long and is marked"140" on the top of the handle. There are some casting marks on the underside of the handle as well. But they are difficult to read. The second piece m easures about 8" long. Has a casting mark on the underside of"B63" and is nickel plated. The third piece m easures about 11-1/2" long and has no casting marks or other identifiers. And is also nickel plated. The parts are used. But in good condition. The plated items do show some plating wear and minor rusting. The pictures show the condition of the items. The top surface has"Griswold" in raised letters and also"203" Three of the legs have"1834" on the inside and one leg reads"1834A" The underside has"PATT 187" There are three porcelain handles for flame level control. The stove comes with a wooden box, a gas hose and the green pressure regulator. The pressure regulator is marked"Fisher Y200-1" The box appears to have been made specifically for this stove because it fits perfectly. There is also a custom holder with spring loaded release to hold the regulator in place. The stove measures 29 1/2" long by 13" deep and 6 1/2" tall. Each is marked with the company name around the center but they are difficult to read. The center measures approx 2 3/4' and have a lower hole opening of approximately 1" Center to center to each of the wheels is approx 4 5/8'This measurements was taken on the top of the caster.The wheel bolt that mounts the wheel to the actuall caster center to center measured at the wheels is 5 3/8' They work great. Antique 3 Burner Superb Cast Iron Camping Stove (Refurbished)
Bought this at an auction and it was in rough shape. Had some cracks in the frame work and was rusty looking. Fixed the cracks and Clean it up. All the valves are working. Up for bid is one(1) vintage Stover 66 cast iron stove lid lifter in excellent. Gently-used condition. It measures approximately 8-3/4" long. This interesting kitchen collectible was used for lifting the lids from a coal/wood stove. It has a spiral wire handle that forms a hook at the end for hanging. See pictures. NOTE: The stove lid lifter is usually an iron device. Often nickel- plated. With a flattened hook at one end for lifting the iron stove lids/plates from the stove or range top. Antique canning stove is a unique reminder of the past. This 3 burner stove is marked"Stephenson Mfg Co Pittsburg PA No. 3" on the middle burner. As shown in the third photo. Notice there is no"H" in"Pittsburg" which may or may not indicate it's age. There is however, an"H" on the side legs, shown in the fourth photo. It measures 26 inches tall by 33 inches long by 16 inches wide. All of the knobs turn. The knobs all match. Has a swirly grate design as shown in the last photo.
