Mostly cast iron with a tin chimney that has a nice ... morenickel-plated cast iron frame for the mica window. This frame is embossed"The Brightest And Best" I see no other marker's mark. I took the first set of photos outside in natural light and frigid temperatures(6 degrees) When I came inside I realized 30 seconds with super fine steel wool would clean the nickel plating easily. So the photos taken inside are what it looks like now. With just a little cleaning. I leave the decision of whether or not to continue cleaning to the new owner. Much of the original black paint remains on the cast iron pieces. There is surface rust where it is missing. I see no sign that the tin chimney was ever painted. The mica window is badly cracked as shown. I plan to put a cloth inside for shipping. With bubble wrap around the pieces. Wick turner moves as it should and the wick extends well into the bottom of the tank. Tank is clean inside. I see no cracks or chips so I see no reason why this wouldn't work with some kerosene. I believe the fuel cap to be original- neither it or the filler neck is threaded. Please enlarge my photos for a close look. Ask any questions before bidding. Depending on where you live, I can often ship via faster priority mail for the same cost. I do this whenever possible.

2 Original Antique Cast Iron Majestic Wood Burning Stove Shelves With Brackets I have to tell you about the auction that I went to this week. It was in Geneva Illinois. In a sandstone building that was built before the Civil War. The sale was the final liquidation of an antique store(they‘d had one previous auction- so much stuff, they had to have two) that used to operate out of this location- but the building has been closed, as well as the business, for over 20 years following the passing of the previous owners. Now, we’re talking two stories, an attic and a basement PACKED with antiques- it’s hard to imagine, and all of it just sitting for two decades. These folks had amassed a huge antique collection- many many items dating back to the early 1800s and before. There’s some gorgeous pieces of primitive Americana that I found. I can’t tell ... moreyou how excited I am to be listing my treasures from the sale. I will be listing them for weeks to come. I also have the last of my farm auctions and South Dakota finds listed this week, so there’s something for everyone! I have to apologize for my hard to figure out photos of these two old stove shelves. All 4 pieces are wired together in order to keep from separating. And I couldn't unwind them without a pair of gloves or at least a tinsnip! What I have(whether or not you could tell! is a pair of original Majestic brand wood stove shelves. Dating to the late 1800s, early 1900s, both of these shelves would have been mounted inside of the brackets that you see with them on the back wall of the stove. The brackets would have been at the base of the shelves, and the shelves folded up flush against the back of the stove for when not in use. You can see that each shelf has a pin on either side that fits into the openings on the brakcets. The brackets then each have two holes for mounting on the wall of the stove. This auction is for a cast iron kerosene sad iron heater. It has 2 burners. On the front it says. Union. On the top of the fuel tank it says, Gardner, Mass, USA& C.O. G. S. Co. In front middle of the burners it says 2-CR and on the left it says 20 and on the right it says UL. Then on top of the burner in the front. It says 19-Ul(I think) These types of stoves were available starting in the 1880s. One advantage was you didn’t have to heat your big stove and heat up the whole house. When you iron with a sad iron you use a hot one while another is heating up. The front of each unit has a mica window to see the flame. They slide sideways. There are wicks in the burners although they do not turn. I assume they need cleaning with penetrating oil because they haven’t been used in a long time. I could not find another one like it from my searches on the web. Great working condition. We used it to heat the porch/kitchen for several years. Up for your bidding consideration is this'barn fresh' antique Germer'Radiant Home Air Blast' cast iron parlor wood burning stove. This stove came out of a turn of the century barn where this stove was installed new when the barn was new(approximately 1915) The barn was to be torn down. So I saved the stove. It is virtually complete, thanks to it being in one spot for all it's life, until now. It was not fired off very often, as the interior is in remarkable condition(aside from a bit of old creosote lining the walls) From what I could see, the interior cast iron pieces are all in good shape with no apparent cracks or breaks. The original nickel plating is trashed from many years of being in an old damp and drafty barn and will need to be replated. All of the cast iron is apparently damage free from what I could see. There ... moreare no obvious cracks or breaks anywhere on the stove, that I could find. It comes complete with it's original finial, which in itself is hard to find. I have purchased new Eisenglass for a full restoration, which will come with the stove. All damper handles appear to be present and in good usable condition. The only thing I noticed that was missing was one of the door handles, which is the one on the bottom damper/ash door. I'm certain a replacement handle can be easily found and purchased. The picture of this stove actually shows the stove top turned 90 degrees from the bottom. This is adjustable and will turn properly back to its normal position once it has been restored. This stove stands about 5' tall, give or take a few inches and weighs around 400+ pounds. This will be an easy restoration project and will look stunning once complete. Perfect for that log cabin in the woods or for your family room! The provided pictures should speak for themselves. He served during 3 wars- WWII. Korean War, and VIETNAM WAR. He retired at Ft. Benning, GA on February 6, 1973 after 28 years of service. He was retired for 23 years when he died on Feb 13. 1996 at the ago of 86. These items were purchased at auction. Were neatly stored by his heirs, and not touched or used for almost 30 years. Up for Bid is a A Buck's Junior#2 Salesman Sample Cook Stove. An exceptional example of a salesman sample cook stove. This stove was made by the Buck's Stove& Range Co. of St. Louis. Missouri. All the same workable features of the large stoves. Six burners with covers. Grates, and a door to access them, the decorative operable oven door, and accessories, are just a few of the features. These are actual workable stoves. Used for salesman's samples and/or used by little girls to learn cooking from their mother. This stove is still in exceptional original condition. Circa Late 1800's. These little cook stoves are becoming rare. This stove measures Approximately 22" wide. 23" high, and 12" deep. An antique to treasure. You are bidding on an antique iron cook stove burner cover 2 piece. Large portion measures 8 1/4" x 1/4" with footing 3/4" tall, smaller inner piece 4 5/8" x 1/4" marked on underside PENINSULAR, they have surface rust on the under side and something black on the top, the larger piece is marked on the bottom but unsure what it reads, they are not a PERFECT fit but very close, good items for a restoration project. Up for auction are 2 Antique Wood/Coal Burning Cast Iron Stove Lids with Lid Lifters. The first lid is 9" wide and has no labels or stamps of any kind. It is in good condition. On the bottom there is some surface pitting and the lip where the lifter goes there are holes on each side. The holes do not effect it or the lifter being used with it in any way. The second lid is 8" wide and is stamped 8 B CV3126. It is in good condition. It needs to be cleaned. The first lid lifter has a spiral handle and is 8 1/2" long. It is stamped 561 on the inside towards the handle. It is in good condition. All it needs is to be cleaned. The second lid lifter has a spiral curved handle and is stamped ARCTIC on the side. Is a portion of a base to a stove, it has two curved legs with nice filigrie design and two connector portions, the legs are not marked but the connectors are marked 151 CLIP, connected with original hardware small square nut and bold, the stove legs are 5.5" tall 8" at widest portion 4" in depth, the connector pieces are 5.5" across 4.5" from hardware pieces, one of the bolts is slightly bent, all have surface rust, a nice group for a restoration project or for a collection.
