Ranges, Parlor Heaters, Hot Air Circulators and that type of thing as well as related hardware and accessories. Open ornate upright parlor stove. The New Method Co. was founded in the latter 1880s, and was soon related to the Baxter Stove Co. both in Mansfield, Ohio. Around 1904, owner Berry Baxter decided to sell stoves in California, but the heavy cast iron was expensive to ship, meaning overpriced stoves. The answer was a steel stove, lighter in weight than cast-iron models. Our shinning stove is a cast iron& plated steel hybrid, which indicates the Baxter influence. Our gorgeous Victorian footed style heater has its square patterned covered firebox filled with gas refractory pretzels, for a fine glow and proper diffusion of heat. New Method was founded and shared space with ... moreBaxter, but the two companies had separate listings in the Mansfield City business directory. I really don't know what year it is or much about it. If you do. I would gladly offer some advise and will revise my listing. I bought it and was going to convert it for use in a house I am remodeling, but I have decided to use a modern stove instead. It is in pretty good shape. Just a few little chips in the porcelain. The handles are rusted a little but I think will clean up well. The left side top lifts up for the burners and the right side is an oven. It appears everything is there and it is certainly a neat item. I think it is 1920's. Could be used as is or lightly restored. Antique 1920s GE Hotpoint Stove Kitchen Oven - Great Condition!
Gorgeous. 1920s GE Hotpoint oven- in great condition! This rare find has been kept covered for quite some time, and is ready to be the centerpiece of a vintage kitchen, or a show-stopper wherever you choose to display it. With top oven. Warmer drawer, 3 burners, steamer pot, crumb-catcher, and warmer, this was the highest quality, top-of-the line kitchen stove when it was produced. The design was fashionable as well as practical, and it has nice styling on the dials, built-in reference guide to cooking times, and handles. The great: well maintained. And still has a shine and luster from its quality construction. Even better, the electrical still works- we've tested it, and when plugged in, the bulb came right on, and at least 2 of the burners get hot immediately when turned on. The less great: the knob that controls the main oven is slightly ... morebent. So we were not able to turn that on to test. Given the condition it's been kept in, we feel it's likely a minor issue. The warmer drawer is also missing a handle. In great. Fully working condition, these can draw $2000 or more. Judging by the people that have stopped just to look at it, it's worth it just for advertising. However, we are out of space, and would like to move this. It will need a small amount of TLC to hit that perfect condition, and we are factoring that into our asking price of just $500. Marked local pick-up only. I have up for sale a very hard to find"Apartment Size" CRIBBEN& SEXTON CO Model 200-M 3 burner gas oven/ stove. It is in Outstanding Original Condition- this is about as good as it gets for an item of this sort. The stove stands approx 33" tall to the top section where the grates and heating surface is. Approx 51" total height to the top of the hood/ back section. It measures approx 27-1/2" across at the top grate warmer section and It weighs just over 100 lbs.From front to back it measures roughly 20" deep, that is including the backside small pipe section and from the very front part where the burner knobs are. This is one of the smallest size stoves of this type, perfect for a small kitchen, a hunting shack, deer camp, cottage,etc. In 1913 Cribben& Sexton started producing the first gas powered stoves ... morein the US. The streakiness on the blackpaint is from me wiping it with a damp cloth. It is not a repaint. I just did not let it dry long enough when I did the pics. Ovens took over for smoking lounges and open-hearth houses which in principle had an open fire in the house with holes/ vent in the ceiling. Previously the house was constructed around the hearth but the introduction of iron furnaces and dread enabled also the creation of indoor spaces- and as 3 bedroom lodges became common. classic 1920s enamel gas Palace STOVE, gray & white, pickup, NR
This is an old 1920s gas stove made by Palace. Which I bought some years back from the elderly daughter of the original owners to use in our first home(which is why it has that yellow hose on the end) though I'm selling it strictly as a collectible- you take your own chances if you decide to use it yourself. There's minor surface rust here and there, and some paint losses to the wooden oven handle, but by and large it's in excellent condition- no flakes to the enamel, which is fairly rare in my experience, and the porcelain knobs are fine. Since I want it out of here. It starts low with no reserve. Pickup only in or near Philadelphia, Pa.

Antique 3 Burner Stove/Oven circa 1920s
This item was purchased from previous owner in 1992 when it was removed from a kitchen where it was fully installed and operational. The stamped plate indicates patent dates of 1912-1923. By the Standard Gas Equipment Corporation with 893-2 model number. It is very clean, virtually no rust, and porcelain door and panel are both remarkably clean and unblemished. It has been used only decoratively since 1992. Located 20 miles from Boston; buyer must pick up.
