It is 5 and 7/8” wide. ¾” high and the interior diameter is 3 ¼” On the base it is stamped with the trademark W& H pennant with an uppercase K in a shield. Which I believe dates it to 1940. This is a really lovely pair of silver plated entrée dishes of oval form with beaded edges and ornate removable handles by Walker and Hall. The base of each one is marked W& H S and the WH in a pennant trademark. Each is 29.7cm long. 22.3cm wide and stands 17cm high. There are no dents. Dings or scratches that I can find on the outside though one has a couple of spots(see photo) One lid has a small area of rub(see photo) inside and the others just the usual marks from serving which will be hidden in use. Old Antique Victorian Silver Plated Tray with Wooden Cutting Bread or Cheese Board. The Silver Plated Tray has a nice Shaped Design. It was made in Sheffield by The Famous Walker Hall Company. Circa 1890, the makers name is engraved on the bottom with the No. 51 112 it is their A1 Plate. It has no damage some surface marks on the bottom, the silver plate has no wear. This is a splendid Piece in very good condition, Great to have on a Dining Table Setting when having a Diner Party with Friends, especially at Christmas time to cut Bread or Display Cheeses. Walker& Hall was established in Sheffield in 1845 by George Walker. Becoming an assistant of Dr. John Wright who had conducted important experiments on electroplating Walker secured the royalty of electroplating for Sheffield. The business was joined by Henry Hall and became in 1853 Walker& Hall. The factory was at Howard Street.
