This is an Amazing"Hukin& Heath" find! Dating back to the late 1800's and made in Birmingham. England, this piece is Very unique and Very rare. This"Sardine/Butter" dish is encased in gorgeous incised silver, with silver Bamboo design handles. The finial on the lid is made of wood and is tastefully done adding to its beauty. Each side of the silver encasing the glass dish is etched with a different scene. This piece is in MINT condition and has makers marks which I've shown in images. This wonderful dish is has a leaf or butterfly embossed detail in lid with a fine pressed glass dish in A1 condition. There is slight wear to silver plate commensurate with age but overall the dish is rather stylish and displays well. The dish measures 13 x 11 x 7cms to top of handle.

Having a rectangular body with rounded corners, a pressed galss liner sitting in a frame which has chased ivy-work, a lift-off lid with cast conch shell finial, a floral swing handle, and all sitting on four cast foliate feet. Made by Walker and Hall of Sheffield in circa 1880. This is a superb antique sardine or butter dish it is mounted in a beautiful four clawed footed silver plated basket it is in superb condition and has no plate loss the glass is beautiful it has frosted sides and cut column corners and a cut and dimpled bottom on the underside it also has a RD date mark on the bottom of the glass which is unusual it does have a small smooth chip in one top corner it is a heavy piece for its size which stands for quality it dates around the 1880s or even earlier. Antique 1854-1895 EPNS Silver Plate SARDINE / BUTTER DISH - Deykin & Sons. B'ham
This is a really beautiful antique EPNS silver plated sardine dish with a cut glass receptacle. This is exceptional as I have never come across glass of this age in. Such fine condition with no chips or even nibbles. The holder features a whelk as the finial and pillars at each corner supported by paw feet. The base is marked EPNS over the fleur de lys. And swan marks then D& S the mark oyy Deykin& Sons. Of Birmingham, from 1854 to 1895. It is 16.5cm long. 12cm wide and 14cm high(inc handle) There are no dents. Dings, scratches that I can find but a the very lightest of rub to one side of the lid. This is a lovely bowl in excellent overall condition that would look great on display.
