Vintage MERIDEN B Co. Silverplate/Celluloid Twin Handled Serving Dish c1900. Up for auction is this Antique/Vintage Silver Plate Tureen Holder in Silver Plate with Twin Celluloid Handles. Produced by Meriden Silver Co. Of Hamilton-Canada the research I have been able to do would indicate a date of c1879 to c1924 but no later than that. It has some lovely pierced and Impressed detailing around the body of the piece with twin upturned handles that are described as Celluloid. It stands on 4 raised and outward facing feet. The approximate size is 16.7cm diameter across the top rolled rim and 10cm tall(To the top of the Handles) The Makers Impressed Marks are on the inner body and are clear as can be seen on the photo's. Condition is Vintage used. There is what appears to be some age related rub marks above two of the feet but I do not feel ... morethis detracts from the appearance of this lovely piece.
