This piece is in good condition with only some minor wear to the plate along the roped edges and around the piercing. The baize is firmly in place and is still rich in colour with just a couple of small stain spots which, I think, result from silver polish. Offered at auction is a large. Early 20 th century. Wine or champagne bottle coaster. This coaster is predominately made of glass with a decorative sterling silver rim. The coaster measures approximately 6 ¾ inches in diameter with a depression or“bowl” in which to set the bottle in, measuring approximately 5 inches. This coaster is large enough to accommodate the base of a standard wine bottle a champagne bottle or a magnum size wine bottle. The rim of this coaster is hallmarked as being sterling and made by the Wallace silver co. I would estimate that there is $25.00 to $30.00 worth of silver used to make the coasters rim. This coaster is in very good condition with no chips or cracks to the glass. A Victorian silver plated/britannia metal champagne/decanter bottle holder. Good solid weight and really well detailed. Ornate embossed grapevines to top and bottom and different beautifully pierced decoration all round. Swags and roundels to the middle section. Good size at 15.5cms height. Diameter of top 12cms. Date: C1840-1899 Marks: None. Probably Sheffield. Condition; A genuine antique which has been lovingly over polished for many years hence there is wear to the plating and it does not shine brightly. But there is no damage and it is entirely appropriate to continue to be used for many more years. The detail and variation of the decoration is amazing. A lovely piece but do be aware of the wear. Vintage silver plated Galleried Bottle Coaster This beautiful. Large bottle coaster would take a standard Champagne or wine bottle, or a Magnum bottle. It is silver plated on copper with pierced detail to the sides and roped edges. The base is made from turned wood and the underside is covered with dark green baize. Unfortunately, there are no marks from which to ascertain its age or maker. This piece is in good condition with only some minor wear to the plate along the roped edges and around the piercing. And a very small scratch to the side(please see photos) The varnish to the wood is generally worn through use. The baize is firmly in place and is still rich in colour with just a couple of small stain spots which, I think, result from silver polish. Lovely silverplate wine coaster with grape motif and felt bottom. Beautiful grape border and perfect for wine or champagne. Coaster is from the 1950's-1960's and is in nice vintage condition. There is one damaged leaf on outer rim but it is not easily noticed-a small piece is broken off. Piece is unsigned. Will ship Internationally. Wine coaster came from an Illinois antique market. I believe the outside has a lacquer finish so polishing is minimal. Coaster measures 4 1/4" at base and just under 6 1/4" in diameter.

Vintage Silver Plated Champagne Bottle Coaster This bottle coaster has pierced. Silver plated sides and the wooden base has a beautiful inlaid pattern. As can been seen from the photo, it holds a standard-sized bottle of champagne and would probably hold a Magnum bottle too– unfortunately, the bottle of Champagne isn’t included with this coaster. There are no marks from which to determine its age or maker but, from its style, it probably dates to the first half of the 20 th century. Although there is no noticeable damage to this item. Age and use have left their mark. As you can see from the photos below, the plating has a good deal of pitting/marking. The wooden base is in good condition with no missing inlay although there is some very light wear to the surface of some of the varnish. Up for auction without reserve is this lovely wine coaster from Towle silversmiths. Marked Towle on the bottom and 4090. It is 7 ½ inch diameter and 1 ¼ inches tall. It is in the as purchased condition and could use a polishing up if so desired and I leave that up to you. Nice quality vintage Towle silversmith item. Other than noted in the description and pictures there are no other dents. Nor dings, nor cracks, nor foul smells, and it’s clean. Pickups and combined shipping welcomed. Champagne/Wine Coaster with Bottle Drip Ring
This champagne or wine coaster/holder with a bottle drip ring is like new with no scratches etc. The bottom is silver plate and the rim is silver embossed. It is 4 1/2" in diameter. I will polish before I send it to a new rightful owner. This makes a very good presentation at a party for two or more.

Antique Sheffield Silverplate Wine/Champagne Bottle Holder Coaster: for the elegant table. This classic silver plate wine bottle holder is just right. The gadrooned top and reticulated bands give it class and elegance. The holder is marked Made in Sheffield England on the bottom and Silver on Copper. At some point in its life it has been covered in a protective coating(clear) which comes off in very hot water. There are still a few spots of it left, not a detraction but it needs to be mentioned. There are a few light surface marks that are quite superficial. Most likely due to the cork protector. The back of the Coaster has engraved lettering that reads as follows: Baroque" by Wallace 726. This piece is 7" in diameter and is 1" tall. Interior dimensions are 5" in diameter& 3/4" deep. Without the cork in place. This piece is in excellent pre owned condition. Only a bit of very light marks on the shiny surface. This coaster is perfect for using at the dinner table. Or when sitting on a sofa to use on your cocktail table. Recently acquired from a local estate is this vintage silverplate wine coaster with solid sides and beaded type decoration around the top edge and near the bottom edge. I do not see any markings on the coaster to help identify the maker and the age. The bottom of the coaster is lined with felt. The inside diameter across the top is a generous 5” tight measurement-best to allow another 1/8” leeway) And the height is 2 3/8” An average wine/champagne bottle comfortably fits into the wine coaster. Condition: Generally good condition, but it does need a good polishing(I am selling it in the same condition as I found it in the estate. There are a few small scratches on the side.
