Which dates it has being made in the 1890's. Very good condition. No dents dings or rubbing marks. It is a beautiful design with a nice handle. It is in very good condition. But has a few spots where the copper is exposed as seen in the photos. There is a hallmark of a crown with 4 stars in it, and#S446, but I can't find these hallmarks anywhere. This truly is a very beautiful quality piece. From one of the most sought after English makers. With an unusually high domed lid. Generally considered a standard size muffin dish. However it could of course be used for any purpose. There are three pieces to this set; The base dish. Holder and the lid. Presented in very good condition: see below for more details. Made by Asprey& Co in London Probably dates c1900. Base Diameter 17.8cm Height(top of finial) 15.1cm Arguably in very good condition. With no real damage* or repairs. Sporting a very minor ding to the lid rim. There is no loss of plate Bearing the usually inherent surface scratches that one must reasonably expect on a used antique of this ... moreage. Rare for one of these from this maker to become available. They are hardly ever parted with. Do not miss this one! A reasonable starting bid has been set. With no reserve. Make no mistake. There are a few small dings in the top tray but these are only visible at certain angles and will not be noticed with food on the tray. The Tray/ Dish is double skinned so the heat beneath is not too severe. The main central burner is a paraffin burner and will require a wick and fuel but there is plenty of room beneath for tea lights to burn as there is adequate side venting. This covered dish is very nice and from 1866 to 1899 by Simpson Hall Miller& Co. USA.The dome lid is in Excellent Condition and has six vent holes for steam in the top of it.The weight is 1 pound. The bottom is very decorated around the outside edge with cut outs 25 old English Pattern"Fleur De Lis" It is 8 1/4" round on the outside and 5 1/2 round inside bottom and graduates to 6" at the inside top! Could be used for cheese. Butter or any hot dish because it has vent holes for steam. There are some small pin prick marks to the silver on inside bottom, but very small and doesn't take away from the beauty of the piece.It also has a small bend to the outside edge that isn't that noticeable unless you look really hard.Very Nice Antique set that is Rare and I haven't been able to compare it with any other dish ... morefrom that time.Great Find! Very rare beautiful Hartford Silver Co. Quadruple Plate serving dish with lid. This lovely antique bowl is model number 2009. It was made in the late 19th century between 1882-1893 by the Hartford Silver Company of Hartford. CT. It features gorgeous flower design on the handles& lid. And a lovely flower& ivy design goes around the outside of the dish. There is a number scratched into the bottom of the dish that appears to be 7528. This dish is in great condition for it's age. It is very clean& shiny very little to no tarnish. It does have a few small scratches& one small dent on the brim of the lid. Shown in pictures. I will always combine shipping to save you money! Yes. For Auction this super unusual antique Victorian OSP- Silver Plated Heated serving Dish- Heated Muffin Dish- c1850- 1890. The dish is made from silver plate on copper in the Old Sheffield Silver Plate method and in the Victorian Arts& Crafts style with a plannished surface and gadrooned border. The base is stamped 1831/ 4 and with no makers marks I believe it is probably a Birmingham piece. The dish is in general good antique condition commensurate with materials. Great age and use. There is some typical light plate rub. Mainly on the rim and base showing the copper base below, some expected blemish specks in the heated base and a minor mark near the finial knob. I am being very fussy and particular in noting this having little effect on the aesthetics and being typical of antique Old Sheffield silver plate. Altogether a nice antique ... moreexample. The dish measures 12 ½ inches by 9 inches. The total height is 4 inches. Each side is 2 inches. The serving dish is a stunning centerpiece for any meal. The bottom of the dish is stamped with a hall mark'HA EA FA' which points to Atkin Brothers of Sheffield registesterd in 1854. This has also been confirmed by local antiques store. Condition: Start by looking at the pictures. You'll see that the best condition part of the dish is the underside. The rest is very dirty in places and some of the plating has worn away. The pieces from inside the dish which hold the bacon are missing as is the mother of pearl inlay for the small handle. The piece would benefit from replating and restoraton in which case it would be highly desireable. I think to the early 1920s, or possibly a little earler It is a heavy thing. With a good depth of plate. It is in good condition. A few surface scratches, but nothing that has gone through the plate, and just a couple of little areas of wear to the base, where they can't be seen in normal use. No dents nor dings It has a diameter of about 9 inches or 23cm and a depth of about 1.5 inches or 4cm Certainly in very good condition. With even less wear than you would expect to see in an item of this type or age They are beautiful. With a depth of shine that you just don't seem to get with more modern pieces. Wonderful items.
