Superb Quality James Dixon Silver Plated Roll Top Breakfast Dish. Decorative engraved letter on the top. Looks like V. See picture 4. This beautiful dish is in excellent condition. Comes complete with both original liners. The plain liner does have some useage marks. There is no damage or plate loss. But I think that the original lifting knop has been replaced at some time with a Bakelite one. Measures approx. 13 inches handle to handle by 7 inches and stands approx.8 inches tall on nicely shaped ornate legs. Full makers stamp.

For auction this very nice antique Victorian Art Nouveau Silver Plate and Porcelain Bon-Bon Dish/ Basket/ Bowl- c 1886-1890. The silver plated carriage holder is made by the renowned Sheffield Silversmiths James Dixon& Sons between 1886& 1890. The Porcelain Bowl has an incised makers stamp. But I do not know the maker! The silver plate and porcelain is in very good condition. Commensurate with materials, great age, careful use and good storage- no damage- clean and bright. Nice original antique Victorian example which would fir into most Victorian design categories. Aesthetic Movement, Art Nouveau, Arts& crafts and even Edwardian Art Deco. Victorian Silver Sweetmeat Dish This beautiful 7” 17.7cm) diameter dish is made from sterling silver and decorated with alternating pierced and repousse foliate decorated panels. And it stands on a socle foot. It is very clearly hallmarked for Sheffield 1898 with the maker’s mark of James Dixon& Sons. This piece is in very good condition with no dents or splits that I can find. The only thing to mention is a very light bruise the bottom of the cup of the dish but this is barely noticeable. Please be aware that it is 116 years old so there will be tiny surface abrasions caused through use. A beautiful small antique silver plated bon Bon dish by James Dixon. It is in a lovely antique condition and has no plate loss it does have a tiny mark in the bowl and some tarnishing and slight marks of use. In all a lovely dish. It is stamped underneath.

LOVELY ANTIQUE JAMES DIXON SILVER PLATED DISH
A lovely JAMES DIXON antique silver plated butter or preserve dish. It is in a good used condition and has a lovely charm about, it stands on four balled feet and has a lovely waved edge it has no real plate loss but it does have some tiny marks on the inside of the dish and there is a few chips in the glass it is a diamond shape and not square, it comes with a antique spoon which is in good condition.
