There are no hall or makers markings on these dishes or lids(other than the numbers 1&2 but I believe them to be silver plate. The entree dishes are monogrammed M. The entree dishes are approx 30 by 23cm and including the(removable) handle are about 20cm high. The warming dish is approximately 23cm across by 35cm and 7cm. An Antique Victorian/Georgian Silver Plated Warming Tureen/Dish by E.A. c.1830
Here we have a gorgeous early 19th century silver plated warming dish or tureen with an extra removable tray. This piece has the most gorgeous cast handles and feet with acanthus type decoration typical of the 1800-30 period although this dish could be as late as maybe 1860 in date. Marked EA on the bottom but I don't know what maker this could apply to. Originally this piece would have been filled with hot water and the tray on top would have kept food warm for serving. A really good piece of early 19th century silver plate. Measurements(approx) it measures 8" 203mm) deep x 14" 356mm) wide x 3.5" 89mm) high. Condition: this tureen is in generally good shape. There are some small dents to the body and the tray but no splits and the plated finish shows very little sign of wear.
