Carpenter 1910 Workbench. Wine Tasting Table or Kitchen Island. Crafted of solid hard maple about 1910 as a carpenter's woodworking bench. This well worn antique makes a fascinating wine and appetizer table or kitchen island. Two clamping vises operate with giant wooden screws. A recessed tray kept parts and tools from rolling away. On the side is knife holder. Some"curly maple" grain is beautiful, the finish is in excellent condition with warm patina and loads of character- stains, mars and wear. Workbench 1910 Maple Counter. Or Kitchen Island. Crafted of solid hard maple about 1900 as a workbench. This well worn antique makes a fascinating wine and appetizer table or kitchen island. The base has exposed mortise and tenon joints and traces of old paint. There is an iron clamping vise. The top tilts up by turning the crank wheel. This workbench was once adapted to hold an electric saw, and the blade slot is in the center, see photos. The finish is in excellent condition. 1947 Post WWII Rock Island Arsenal Marked Juicer Press Industrial Size Kitchen !
Hi: For your consideration here is a really cool large press or juicer marked Rock Island Arsenal! This all-aluminum press stands roughly 14 1/2" tall with a base measuring 17" x 8" This piece was apparently manufactured and supplied under government contract(no. P-2111-7) to the Rock Island Arsenal with a manufacturing date of 1947. It is in very good condition with no apparent cracks. And complete with the juicer basket. The press handle lifts and closes smoothly. There are small surface rust marks in the area of and around the corners of the tag. The aluminum could use polishing but that will be the winning bidders choice. If a bowl or receiver container was supplied with the juicer it was not with the press when we purchased it. I made this piece from salvaged barn lumber. the barn was from 1840 in warren county new jersey. it is a mix of pine and hemlock. the color you see is natural age patina with only 3 clear poly seal coats. this piece is great for a kitchen or wine cellar. i made it island height 36" the legs and apron still have some"marrige marks" on them from the original barn assembly. this piece measures 58" long x 23" wide x 36" tall. the top is 2 3/4" thick. all the wood has great age character. This authentic vintage carpenter’s bench bears all of the patina and markings of its age and purpose. You’ll find both deep and superficial cuts, grooves, and wear marks… small paint splatters, a few small burn marks and more… each helping to tell the story of its history. There are two vices at the front of the bench in perfect working order. We found this antique bench to be neat, orderly, and lovingly maintained in the basement workshop of the home. This is definitely one of the nicest carpenter benches we have come across! Someone took the time to preserve the character of this bench and they did an unbelievable job! It could definitely be used a workbench again. But we are thinking beyond that. With industrial and primitive being two of the hottest decor styles in demand right now. You can have the best of both worlds right here! Do you have extra space in your kitchen? If not you might want to think about knocking down a wall for this one! This would be the most unbelievable kitchen island or sideboard in your dining room! No room there? How about a very unique bar? Do you see the trough along the one side- or should I say drink rail? I'm sure wherever it would come to rest in your house you would be the talk of all your friends with this conversation piece- everyone will want ... moreto see it! This bench is not too big and not too small- it comes in at about 75" long by 24" wide by 33 1/2" tall. The length and width measurement are just the main workbench top and not the vises that stick out a little more. Regarding the width you would add about 6 1/2" for the vise and handle for a total of roughly 31 1/2" in that spot. The length including the end vise would be 83 1/2" long the way it is pictured. It does not appear to go in all the way and where it is pictured is as far as it goes. We are not 100% sure if that is how it is supposed to be or if it should be able to go in a little further. It couldn't go much further in though with the nuts sticking out of the side in that same area. It's an antique workbench so it has a lot of wear and tear to give it the character it has. If you are expecting something new and perfectly smooth on top this is not for you. It is impossible to describe every flaw and frankly in our eyes we do not consider them flaws. Structurally. Up for auction we have for your consideration a oak wood kitchen island with a black metal dacor gas stove top. The island has two cabinets below with a single shelf in the center of the piece. The island is built very very srong made and designed to last a long time. The island top has one small tare on the right hand corner, other than that the counter is in exceliant condition. The dacor gas stove top is also in great condition as well,it comes equipe with all the fixings as well as ventalating systems. This decor works great and will last you a long time to come. it was being used right up to the day of removal for the new kitchen. Here's a sturdy. Heavy kitchen island table or butcher block to add a bit of much-needed prep space and storage to a cramped kitchen. This is a quality bit of furniture craftsmanship. Courtesy of the old Pennsylvania-based S.J. Bailey and Sons in their Mastercraft line. This table stands just under 36 inches tall. The tabletop is 24 inches by 23 7/8 inches across and 1-inch thick. The bottom shelf is 5 7/8 inches from the floor. There's a double-sided drawer that can be opened from either end that adds plenty of storage space for kitchen utensils. The maker mark is stamped on one side behind the drawer. This is a qua lity. Used table that has expected wear and surface scratches and dents along the legs from use, but no major issues. You are bidding on a nice oak jewelers bench from around 1920's or 1930's. The bench is in good condition and has refinished and some drawer bottoms have been replaced. The rest is all original. The bench has 10 drawers 1 pull out shelf and 1 door is 48" wide at the top, 39' wide at the bottom and is 20" deep and 39" tall. This bench would make a great kitchen island or breakfast nook. Please feel free osk questions or for more pictures. This is a pickup only, or the buyer can make arrangments to have it delivered, or I can store it till you can pick it up. early 1900's work bench signed and dated 1931, kitchen island?
very nice cabinet makers workbench. has a shellacked red oak base and maple top. there are 3 drawers with the bottom one having some slots for hand saws. they all slide well. there are also 3 doors. the 2 side ones have provisions for holding different tools. there is a key for the door. Next to the drawers. the finish on the back is still bright. the top is 2" thick, by 22" wide and 51 1/2" long. the height is 33 1/4" the top has a tool tray along the back. it was also patched to cover over a few holes. it is just as i found it from a basement. the maker? A O Mity 31" wrote on the top rail in blue crayon. i would prefer local pickup but if the buyer needs i will find a freight company to ship it. i won't charge for the handling, buyer pays shipping costs.
