It is hand painted with an unusual and good quality scene in the center ... moreincluding a wagon with two horses on a street with the usual landscape surrounding with two buildings. Nice to see something a bit different in the scene and the wagon/ carriage/ cart is well painted and gives us a glimpse back into time. The rim has a nice green ground color with a gold design to it as well as a gold line design and the gold rings one often sees on Paris plates of this period. The plate is in great condition with just a very minimal amount of wear to the gilding. As is the norm the piece is unmarked except for an incised letter W as well as three stilt marks from the firing process. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 8.625 inches in diameter.
