Whether GILT BRONZE or brass, gilt or coated in KT gold or what, but they are extremely well made and heavy, excellent quality. I would consider them vintage but could be in fact antique. I believe the cherubs or ... moreputti are actually gold underneath, and a previous owner may have prefered the"patina" look and painted them in some manner(as you can see the gold gilding showing through some of the worn paint areas) or perhaps they were made that way I do not know, this is the condition in which they came to me and I haven't changed a thing. I LOVE CHERUB DECOR AND HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER SET LIKE THEM! VINTAGE CAST BRASS WALL SCONCE, LIGHT FIXTURES, LAMPS, VICTORIAN, ARTS & CRAFTS
Offered is this beautiful pair of antique cast brass Victorian style wall sconce light fixtures. They are in very nice condition and are 100% original from the porcelain sockets to the fabric insulated wire. There is no manufacturers mark that I could find on them but they are extremely well made and of a very high quality. Each fixture measures 10 and 1/2 inches tall by 4 and 1/2 inches wide and will extend 6 inches out from the wall once mounted. One fixture is missing the candlestick cover tube as shown in the photos, I chose not to replace it so as to keep them all original and leave the replacement choice up to the buyers discretion. These are excellent pieces perfect for period restorations and remodel projects. They feature a subtle. Classic and very tasteful design, not too overly ornate. Thanks for looking!

vintage 1930's Authentic ELECTRIC Wall SCONCE with tiny Unique VICTORIAN Shade
vintage 1930's Authentic ELECTRIC Wall SCONCE with tiny Unique VICTORIAN Shade. 13" high. Including bulb, 9 1/2" deep, 4 3/4" wide. Marked as shown. An ornate brass arm curls into a crackle glass base, single electric candlelabra. There is a wonderful tiny Victorian shade that clips onto the white metal support. The paper shade is curved around a brass wire, hand painted, decorated with tiny brass flat beads, silk flowers, and edged in Victorian lace. There is a little clip that pinches on to the metal sconce. I bought this while it was still on the wall where it had been for at least 70 or 80 years. It still is fully working, but as is adviseable with all old wiring, probably should be rewired for safety. There is a tiny hole in the brass in the curve of the arm(pic 9) looks original to the making, as it is not in a place ... morewhere damage could occur. Just a most excellent, unusual original wall sconce.

This is a great Large Victorian Brass 1&1 Gas Electric Wall Sconce Fixture that has been Electrified and is ready to hang. Circa 1890-1900s. Measures 17&1/2 inches tall, 13 inches deep, out from the wall, with the shades installed, brass round ceiling canopy is 4 inches wide. The original Victorian Torch inside the Wreath Fluted Top Gas Shade is 4&1/4 inches tall, 8 inches wide, and the base is 3&15/16 inches wide. The matching electric shade is 3&7/8 inches tall, 4&7/8 inches wide, and 2&1/4 inches wide at the fitter flange. Gas shade has a chip on the fitter lip which does not show when the shade is in the 4 inch shade holder. Up in this auction is a cast iron kerosene or oil lamp double wall sconce. Made for a Library or an old parlor. It has two separate sides that slide into a double slot wall holder. Each arm measures approx. 10-1/2" wide, and the font opening is 4-1/4" on the neck. It was painted black at some time. But paint is coming off in some parts. The shades are NOT included in this listing but shades in these sizes are pretty easy to come by on eBay etc. Dimensions; to take a 4" flanged-fitting gas shade and a 2 1/8" electric shade. The bell-shaped wall cowling is roughly 4 1/2" wide. Condition; appear ... moreto have its original lacquer and traces of gilding which are both tired but give an'automatic' antique look. Antique Victorian Era Bronze Bacchus Mirror Wall Sconce
This Antique Victorian Era Bronze mirrored Sconce is in beautiful condition. It features a head of Bacchus or Dionysus. The God of Wine with georgeous reticulated grape vine design through out. The very nice solid cast bronze frame has a nice finish and I have not attempted to polish or clean it. That I will leave to the buyer. The mirror is in wonderful condition for it's age( over 100 years old) There is a slight clouding at the corners. It is 16" tall by 9" wide. I think that the three candle holder arms could be removed. Screws on the back(see photo) if desired. This is a rare and quite beautiful cast iron wall sconce circa 1890's. This 12" tall. 14" wide(from wall bracket to end of holder) with a 6" wide holder. Likely used to hold a lantern, this piece could now hold a large candle, or oil lamp. The screw is still present, and in good working order. This gorgeous assymetrical mantle keystone was probably carved around 1880 or 1890-they faded from popularity in the early 1900s& wood began to dominate the market. Overall measurements of about ten by twelve by four inches deep(projection) No discernible hallmarks. But a good quality, decorative piece brought back from San Francisco, about fifteen years ago. Discernible flaws& noticeable material loss. But a particularly unusual model(all the same) as such: priced to sell. Very nice& clean& thoroughly presentable; note the carver's code, on the back.
