Set of 2 Two Vintage Antique Architectural Gold Paint Plaster Corbels Brackets !
Hi: For your consideration here is a nice set of two(2) vintage or antique sconces or brackets! These medium to large size pieces measure a bit over 8 1/4" from the top of the shelf to the bottom tip. And the surface area of the shelf top is about 9 3/8" wide by 4 1/2" deep which is the maximum depth they would stick out from a wall when mounted. The pieces weigh close to two pounds each unpacked. They are made of what appears to be white plaster or a similar material and the gold finish looks similar to gilders paste/paint. There is a small wire rod in the plaster with a twisted piece of wire on the back of each for hanging. Both are in good condition with no major loss or cracks. Both have light to dark spots or areas in the top shelf part(3rd photo from last) and the other has several small chips and related finish loss. ... moreThe'worst' chipped area is shown in the last photo but there is nothing that could not easily be touched up. These pieces have a very pretty design that in our opinion tends towards an Italian or French design. A great pair of older sconces! PAIR 2 Antique Wood Carved Corbels Salvaged victorian Architectural Trim Lot Set
Rare PAIR OF 2 salvaged fancy BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE OLD wooden corbels with swirls. Leaves, and barrel shapes and embellishments. Victorian feel, very old. AS shown in the photos, THIS PAIR IS 99.9% EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO MISSING PIECES! There are a few flakes of finish missing and sign of age in the finish. I have others like this also on auction on eBay. Same size, design,e tc. but the others have chips and pieces fallen off, where the glue has failed, but so far these 2 are still intact. I will wrap them very carefully, but it is possible something may come loose during transit but repairs can be made easily with wood glue if necessary. Size is approx. 4 inches by 3 inches. I think this is walnut wood. I have more of these. And I will be listing them also in groups or pairs so let me know if you are interested. Gorgeous pair of salvaged porch brackets acquired from a demolition of an old farm house said to have been built in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Please see the pics for condition and measurements. They look to have multiple layers of paint. Both brackets are structurally sound but as one photo indicates. The paint has separated between the L bracket and fretwork. Beautiful Set of 2 Small Carved Wood Corbels Never Finished
Each little corbel has 4 repeating curves terminating in 8 ball shaped volutes. Both sides exhibit carved foliage. Each corbel is 2.75" x 2" x 2" This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects.
