I tested a small area and am unsure if the metal is cast iron or a copper over cast iron as is cleans nicely to a beautiful copper color on the bare metal. Up for consideration is a pair of antique Victorian era wood corbels or brackets. They measure 12 inches at the base. Which is their longest side, and 10 inches up from that. These look great as they are. But if used outside, will be best preserved with a little more paint. These could be used in a variety of ways inside or outside the home. But originally they were decorative brackets for the exterior of the Victorian home. These probably date to late 1800’s or very early 1900’s. Condition is good on these for the age and use. CA mid 1800s pair of wooden corbels. They measure 19-1/2" tall. 9-1/2" wide and 3-1/2" deep. They are naturally weathered and have retained some color of the old mustard yellow paint. Repurpose into bookends, shelf brackets, or aid in restoring an old Victorian home. Beautiful and all original. Condition: As pictured in our photos. Minor edge chips. There is on piece of the bottom trim missing and the front piece just needs to be hammered back in. It's loose as shown in the photos. Wood is NOT rotted. Does have paint ships.
