Set of 4 Arched Victorian Farmhouse Porch Post Braces Corbels w/ Spindles - VGUC
Set of four arched Victorian or farmhouse style porch post brace corbels with turned spindles. These are solid wood and have been painted. The arched portion of all four measure 7" from the inner corner out in both directions. While the sections that mount against the post measure 10 1/8" in both directions on two of the corbels and 9 1/4" in both directions on the other two corbels. Arched sections are 1/2" wide; mounting sections are 1 1/2" wide. I can only assume that the difference is due to the fact that they were handmade for the porch and are not a mass produced product. Unsure of the age of these corbels, but most of the older homes in my area that have these date from the late 1800s through the early 1900s. While these could certainly be re-used on a porch, they would also make delightful shelf brackets or ... morecould be simply used as architectural pieces for display. Up for bid is a set of 8 or 9 pieces of architectural antique porch brackets. Also referred to as corbels, which make up 4 pairs. Each bracket spans 26-1/4" long across the soffit or frieze portion of your porch at a height of about 14-15" down from the frieze or soffit. Each bracket is approximately 1-3/4 to 2" thick and is painted with several coats of white paint. Most are in exceptional condition for their age, believed to be from the mid to late 1800's, though there are a few, which have a missing piece of wood here or there. There is also a portion of a ninth bracket, not complete that will be included, so that parts of this piece can be cut off to replace what might be missing on the others. A great start to a porch renovation or restoration project. This is a really nice set of four wood carved swans from a vintage two tier table. They would have been used to support the top of the table or stand. They measure aprox. 9 1/2" high x 6" deep and are 7" wide across the wings. They are in good condition. No breaks or damage. Antique Matching Set of 4 Architectural Salvaged Corbels with Original Paint
Here is a matching set of four salvalged antique scroll type design corbels with the remnants of the original paint. The corbels measure 24" high. 5" wide, and 19" deep(however the ones with the attached trim measure closer to 22" deep) I have tried to show as much as I can with the 12 pictures available, but have taken additional photos(5 of each corbel showing each side, the top, back, and bottom) There are some pieces missing here and there on the corbels, I guess to be expected when they are this old. I will likely ship two to a box(20 X 20 X 25) and each corbel weighs about 17 lbs. So, please double the shipping charges shown- I will send a final invoice for total payment due. Beautiful Set of 4 Small Carved Wood Corbels
Each little corbel has 8 repeating curves terminating in a ball shaped volutes. Both sides exhibit carved foliage. Each corbel is 2.75" x 2" x 2" This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects. This item can be combined with others to save on shipping.

Up for auction is a fine set of four architectural wood corbels or corner brackets. White in color. The size of each leg up or down is 18 3/8" and each leg is 2 1/8" wide. The half circle thickness is 3/4" except on the fourth bracket in picture number two the half circle is 1" thick. All are very close in design as per picture number 1(the second bracket in this stack is a little different than the other three) Great set for a gingerbread house or interior decor. Rare group of 4 salvaged fancy wooden corbels with swirls. Leaves, and barrel shapes and embellishments. Victorian feel, very old. AS shown in the photos, there are carving pieces missing here and there. Please examine photos carefully! As I have handled these. Small pieces have fallen off, so the glue has failed on some areas. Please note that I will wrap these very carefully but more pieces may fall off in transit, but a bit of wood glue is all you need to fix it. Size is approx. 4 inches by 3 inches. Great SET of FOUR Victorian black forest walnut wooden carved corbels with swirl and leaf design. As found. As you can see in the photos, there are some chips and missing pieces of carving. Selling this set with no reserve, can easily be restored or used like this. 2 3/4 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall. 2 1/2 inches deep at top. These are so old that the glue is so dried that pieces sometimes just fall off randomly. I will wrap these very well.
