Pair Antique Architectural CORBEL FRETWORK FAN BRACKET Decoration. Old Paint 2 ANTIQUE FAN BRACKET CORBELS Wonderful pair of antique hand carved fan bracket corbels. Each measuring 11" long, 5-1/4" tall and about 3/4" thick. Featuring original old creamy white paint, these once graced a front porch, mounted between two columns. I always planned in using these somewhere, just never got around to mounting them- they both have a tiny pair of dowels mounted to the base which was how there were originally pinned into place. Condition is very nice with no cracks, hairlines, major chips or damage- lots of paint wear, scuffing, chipping and dirt cased in the cuttings- does not detract a bit. If you trim the tiny dowels off, the two sections can be joined or pushed together to create a neat round centerpiece for a table- or they look ... moregreat just decorating the mantle as a backdrop for other old painted architectural items. Antique Pair of Corbels approx 30"- once in a lifetime find!!!
Absolutely magnificent PAIR of corbels that would make your room or used as a support under a bar counter- the most unforgettable room! The detailing and size of these is remarkable. One of the corbels has a weaker place were the wood was seamed- but it doesn't come off. They measure close to 30" each way- tip to corner( if you think of it as an"L" shape) They are about 5 1/2-6" wide. If you add in the round newels- they could he another 1" added to the width. They are currently a khaki color- and the color has been on there a LONG time! All the moldings are present but need nailed on. There is chippy brown paint with bare wood in places. Each measures 13.25 inches deep with moldings. 11.5 inches tall and 8 inches thick with moldings. Overall. They are in good co ndition. There are misc. light scratches and dings as they are antique. Fabulous Antique French Wooden Shabby Gilded CORBEL Rods Holders Pair
Such old corbels in this design are a rare find. As these will hold a tapestry or curtain rod or you can weave a drape through the circular opening. You can also set a shelf on top. Former owner states that the corbels are originally from France. Circa 1900. They are rendered from wood and have remnants of old paint showing under the old gold paint on top. Some wear commensurate with age. A little chipping, rubs, etc. and if you look closely you can see small areas of little chips having been repaired in a couple places, there are some cracks. Splits, etc. Please see images-both are structurally sound. All the imperfections only add charm and authenticity. The plywood backs with hooks are a later addition for hanging easily on the wall. This is an antique pair of carved. Gilt ogee shelves or corbels. These shelves/corbels were found at the estate of a world traveler. They are very heavy, likely 5-7lbs each. The primary wood appears to be black walnut with a secondary wood of oak. This pair shows some minor chipping showing a base gesso covered by a reddish color and then gold coloration. These have some good age to them, and do have some old evidence of worms(not active) They measure 13" long by 5 1/2" high. by 6 3/4" deep. The actual tops are 11 1/2" long by 6" deep. These are very substantial shelves/corbels which are classic in design, and could accent any period decor right up to contemporary. Leave as they are, or refinish to sleek lines. Huge Antique Gingerbread Corbel Brackets 1800's Chippy White Paint - Pair 27x16
These are so amazing! These old corbels add so much to a room and you can do so much with them. You can use them to create a shelf or a table. Or just set them somewhere to add so much architectural interest to your decor. These are ca 1870 and have the shabby paint and have the shabby look. They measure a huge 26 1/2" high x 16" deep x 9" wide and weigh about 17 pounds each!

Nice decorative pair of large corbels or roof brackets. They are large enough to be entry way brackets. They have old chippy white paint with some green under. They both have small chunks out of them as well as some minor chips and cracks. You will also find nail and ail holes. They each have great bullseye accents on each side. One corbel is missing half of the bullseye from one side. Overall they are very solid and in good usable condition. Lovely Pair of Antique Wooden Corbels or Brackets
Two very nice decorative wooden brackets or corbels. I'm not sure what they are or what they came off of or even how old they are. They look Victorian to me. But I am no expert. They would be pretty in the corners of a long doorway or bookcase, holding up shelves, or on a fireplace. They measure about a foot and half at the longest point. There are a few minor scuffs, and one piece is a little loose on top, but overall they are nice solid pieces. We are downsizing our belongings, hoping to move to a smaller home now that children have all grown up and moved away. We have lots of unusual items.
