These are two salvaged architectural corbels that are plaster and a little heavy weighing about 17 pounds each. I'm not sure of their age or what they came off of. The design is wonderful. And you can stand them up or lie them on the long sides, as I show. They have the original pink paint that is a little chippy and time worn. I show where there are a couple minor chips to the plaster. Great to add a touch of architectural interest to your room. Perfect in your home or garden in your shabby chic, French country, Paris Apt or romantic cottage decor. The glass on three sides display cabinet is for sale on another Ebay auction this week. Measurements are about 18" by 9" by 4 1/2" and weigh about 17 pounds each. Buyer to pay shipping and insurance of between $25.00 to the West and $46.00 to the East with UPS to the lower 48 states. This is a wonderful pair of carved wood-look corbels/shelves made from resin. I believe. Solid brass recessed hangers. The color is picture number 5 comes closest to the real thing, but they are actually a little darker, kind of a mahogony color, I would say. They measure 9 1/2 inches across, 5 3/4 inches deep and about 6 inches in length. Need a good cleaning, but I'll leave that to the buyer. I kind of like the dusty look! Did they come from an old Amish home? We don't know, but most of the items brought into auction there are from the local area. They are a matched pair, 13.5" on the long side and just over 11" on the shorter side. They are 1 1/2" thick. Pair 19C Carved Plaster / Chalk Swans Wall Brackets Shelf Corbel Vintage Antique
Graceful lines. Flowers and swans adorn these mid-19 th century corbel shelves. We think they are plaster. But they could be chalk. They are very nicely carved, very heavy, and very dirty. The shelves are about 7.5" high. 7.75" wide, and 4.5" deep. There is a hanging hook on the back of each one. They are in very good vintage condition. One of them had a little red something on it. We rubbed it very lightly with a wet towel, and most of it came off, so we think it will clean completely. There are also a few small age-appropriate scrapes on the top of the shelves, and one small chip- see the last picture. Please see the pictures. The CK details: We go to auctions in spurts. This auction is for a pair of corbels. These corbels came off our Victorian style home about 5 years ago during a renovation. I had fully intended to put these back on our home but due to sickness was never able to do so. The home was built late 1880's- early 1890's. Corbels are weathered and may have chipped paint. Cracks here and there, some areas may be missing a little wood and a number of them have old termite damage on the end. The corbels measure 18-3/4” Long by 12” High by 4-1/8” wide. Size is approx. as the corbels are hand crafted and all are unique. I have taken pictures of a single corbel. A pair, and several pictures of them in a stack. This is a stunning pair of vintage handmade ornate wall mount corbel half moon shelves. each are hand carved from heavy solid pieces of wood and done with an abundance of intricate detailing. they are also wonderfully painted by hand with browns and gold gilding. they are in great condition and each measures 12 inches wide by 11 1/4 inches long and sits 6 inches from the wall. both in very nice condition.
